If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Would have been a lot better if the boy wasn't portrayed as such a wuss. Thought Gran Torino was decent though.

Not as great some Eastwood films but I thought it was good. Nice story of the old man trying to right his wrongs.

I saw Adventureland last night. I live close to the real Adventureland park that inspired the movie, so I wanted to check it out. Average romanatic comedy with a parady of the carnival type park.

            Trick 'r Treat

The movie is creepy and spooky, though not "jumpy" - not that it really tries to be one of those types of horror films anyway. It has a unique feel to it, in a sense it is retro and traditional, but in another its definitely something new. There are a handful of "oh snap" moments that don't feel like cliches or old tricks, but (for me anyway) I did not see coming at all.

While the movie is basically broken down into several short-stories, it does a good job of connecting them all in a natural way by the time the movie ends that left me satisfied. My two favorite stories was the story at the principal's house and then at the end with Brian Cox.

Basically, this movie was awesome and will be a new and welcome addition to the traditional and required Halloween viewing each year.

The Express - Your typical sports hero movie, but Nicole Beharie is my new candy girl so I had to see what else she was in. Unfortunately, she's only been in one other move...

American Violet - Pretty good independent flick about a single mother who gets charged with a crime she didn't commit. It's based on a true story. Beharie is a pretty solid actress and I look forward to seeing more of her in the near future.

17 Again - Typical movie given the premise, couple laughs, light hearted. Overall not too bad.

I'm in the process of watching Blindness which i was really wanting to see in theaters and was surprised to find its on instant view. I'm only about 20 mins in but im intrigued. I'll watch a bit more at lunch today.

Last night saw Gangs of New York (2002)..awesome movie. Daniel Day-Lewis and Dicaprio were great in it. It was really long but didnt drag on at all. Loved the fight scenes, and every scene seemed well put together. After I finished the movie I was so intrigued in it I actually went online and did research on the gangs, the five points and the riots of New York. That tells you when a movie is good.

17 Again surprised me that it wasn't horrible. There were actually some good laughs throughout.

This was a great movie wasn't it? This is one of those movies that I can begin watching whenever it happens to be on tv, at any point of the movie, a la Shawshank or Goodfellas.

Blindness is one of the most unintentionally hilarious movies ever.

Yea i guess im maybe half-way through. Its a little/a lot far fetched indeed. I've chuckled a few times. The whole filming many scenes in "white" is annoying. I know they are trying to portray what the "blind" "see" but its hurting my eyes. The blind sex scene I did laugh at. Considering the environment they have been in for that amount of time, wow, I bet that was gross as hell.

Two really boring old movies about the Hobo life. Although in the first film Veronica Lake was one heckuva vamp VA VA VOOM!

The second film was just disgusting as it was made in 1933 and was at the height of the Great Depression but it was this carefree musical extolling the virtues of being a bum and the message was "why would you want money". I'm sure movie audiences of the day went out of the theatre feeling very bitter that a bunch of fat cat Hollywood types were telling them to shut up and stop worrying about losing jobs, money, homes and your livelihood.

I've seen offensive movies in the last 30 years but I never thought i'd see one that would strike such a chord with me from the Golden Age. Even the title of the movie was pretty condescending and saying "hey, don't worry about it" as the movie was called Hallelujah! I'm a bum.

Yea its awesome. Daniel Day-Lewis is one of my favorite actors (Last of the Mohicans is my all-time favorite movie.) I rented if off Netflix, watched it and then went out and bought it. Cant believe I'm watching it now after it came out 7 years ago lol.
