Child's Play. Awesome stuff. I did not know Prince Humperdink was the investigator. I realized that dolls get creepier as you get older. When you're little they're cute and cuddly, but once you're an adult they're just creepy. Chucky solidified that. My kid is never getting a doll.

Just saw Whip It.
Pretty good movie, a bit generic at times - but still a funny, entertaining movie. And go figure, Jimmy Fallon wasn't extremely annoying in it - perhaps a first for him.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently? Part 1
recent movies in the last 1-2 weeks that I had not watched before:
Wall-E- AMAZING. Probably my favourite animated movie ever and one of my top 10 all-time.
Monsters vs Aliens- Mediocre with a lot of lousy writing. Felt like the dialogue was partly written by either teenage girls and/or some college fratboys. A shame since the story/characters were good as was the voice acting. Seth Rogen was especially great with his character who had mainly funny lines.
Drag Me To Hell- enjoyed this and felt it was a good movie. Nice to see Raimi back in the genre.
Bolt- felt this was a really good movie and one of the better animation movies in years.
Gran Torino- a lot of Clint's lines and the banter between him and the barber were very funny but overall this movie was not much above average. Bad acting and a predictable storyline.
Coraline- a solid movie with great stop motion animation.
Tonight I am thinking I may watch Transformers 2.Last edited by steveo; 10-23-2009, 12:26 PM.Comment

Last King of Scotland - A movie that I've wanted to see for a long time. I thought Forrest Whitaker was awesome. Well done flick.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently? Part 1
Gone Baby Gone-Loved it. Loved the main actor and his Boston accent added a lot to the feel of the movie being set in Boston and all, and also other characters had the Boston accent as well. Really added to the immersion of the movie. There were a lot of twists I wasn't expecting, and every time I thought the movie was going to end something else happened. 8/10.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Re: What movies have you seen recently? Part 1
Just watched Slumdog Millionaire. Had the movie for months from Netflix and finally got around to it. Very good movie, but hugely over hyped, I'd have to say. I really enjoyed it, but at the end I was left thinking "That's it? That's what won the Oscar?"Comment

Watched the blu ray version of Snakes on a Plane. Solid transfer. It's a decent B-movie action thriller. What can be better than CGI snakes on a muther*&$%@! plane?Comment

Paranormal Activity: Just finish watching it, now i hear there it originally came out back in 07, but they decided to change the ending.
SpoilerIn the ending i viewed, she killed her boyfriend and the cops shot her at the end, how does that differ from the other ending?
About the actual movie, pretty interesting movie. It worked really well because of the the hand camera style. The acting was good. I hated the boy friend though, really in a situation like that, would anyone really go out seeking to bother "it?"
