Chocolate - Its been awhile since I've seen this, so a lot of the fight scenes were still pretty fresh. Honestly, I think this is put together better than Ong Bak. The only thing I have a slight problem with are the pace of the fight scenes in that sometimes they appear to be kind of slow, but considering how awesome they structure the scenes and stunts its easily forgiven. There's a lot of humor in this, too, which seems to be tongue-in-cheek.
Loved this movie. Way better than Ong BakComment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Bullitt - I had to watch this thanks to Drive. For some reason I was thinking there were more similarities and while Driver and Frank Bullitt are pretty blunt, cold and calculated, that's about all they share. I never realized how truly tight and concise Bullitt is. There's really not many, if any, wasted scenes. Plus, the chase scene while not as stylized as modern cinema (it would be interesting to see how they would have filmed it today), is still a great chase scene as Bullitt completely owns the baddies, literally making their hubcaps fall off. Jacqueline Bisset was mighty fine, too.
Its movies like this and Dirty Harry that make me sad there aren't any good cop games out.HELLO BROOKYLN.

Saw Horrible Bosses over the weekend and I thought it was a waste of my time. It seemed like they were throwing out vulgarities just for the hell of it. It felt very forced and unnatural.Originally posted by J. ColeFool me one time that's shame on you. Fool me twice can't put the blame on you. Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Saw The Grey and Chronicle over the weekend. Chronicle was pretty cool...the CGI work was pretty weak though, but the flying and stuff looked really awesome. I recommend it if you like superhero movies because it was pretty different from the norm.
The grey was alright. it was a pretty depressing movie tho as there were alot of deaths and the movie was very gritty and dark. Liam Neeson can act tho. I was pretty impressed with his performance.Comment

Just saw Real Steel, and I must say...that was one of the corniest movies I've ever seen. I laughed more than anything. 2.5/5
Drive lived up to the height. One of my favorite movies now. 5/5
The Ides of March was a pretty good political thriller. I've always liked Philip Seymour Hoffman and he shined in the scenes he was in. Overall, pretty good movie. 4/5Huge Fan of the New Orleans Saints & New Orleans Pelicans!!!!!!!!!!!!!Comment

Splinters
One of those independent documentaries on surfing in Papa New Guinea ("oooh, one of those," everyone says confusingly in unison).
But seriously, very good. It takes places months before a big surfing competition on a village in NPG and covers the short history of how surfing became a huge sport in the region.
