    The Hunger Games:

Very good. At it's best when it's a survival movie, less good when it's a love story, but I enjoyed it.

Glad I did, even if I watched it by myself at the computer. Hilarious, and I'm sure it'll be a rewatch with the fiance.

        Gangster Squad
This was one of the more interesting movies I've seen lately. I enjoyed it, but the script was awful. It was like a poor man's version of LA Confidential. Emma Stone = Yes. Ryan Gosling was great, and Sean Penn seemed like he was trying too hard. It had it's funny moments, but over all it was kinda meh.

Dredd (3D). Much better than I was expecting. Compared with the movie that had a similar setting, The Raid Redemption, this had a slower pace. The special effects were pretty cool.

                Ted: Loved it. Hilarious!

                Looper: Loved it. Interesting ending.

Bourne Legacy: Didn't care for it much. Loved Jeremy Renner, but the plot has a ton of holes which I can't think of right now lol.

The Mist: 5/10 One of the most messed up endings I have ever seen.

Man, Sean Penn is a shell of his former self. Used to be so good and now I cringe when he's on screen. Don't understand what happened to him.

I Don't Know How She Does It

                    - Sarah Jessica Parker
                    - Pierce Brosnan
                    - Kelsey Grammer
                    - Olivia Munn

I was over at a friend's house and all the guys decided to go inside for a few and we sat down and started watching this movie with my friend's mom and sister... ended up finishing the movie out.

It was sort of a chick flick, but the cast made it seem less like one.. pretty decent movie, though. It had some really funny moments, especially Olivia Munn's character.

                      Life of Pi

Went with the GF watched in 3D

Very interesting, we both had the book for years and both never read it! The story (which is based on reality) is good, but I think it could have been put together a little better, for example it seems to be setting some things up but kind of just abandons some ideas ... no big deal but it does seem a bit odd.

The best part was the beauty of it, pretty much every scene is very rich in colour and just stunning.

Reminded me a little bit of Big Fish

Overall I'd recommend, it's different and I enjoyed it.

                        Another 48 Hrs. (1990)

                        -Eddie Murphy
                        -Nick Nolte

I can't believe I've never watched it before, considering I've watched the first movie and I'm a fan of all of the Beverly Hills Cop movies..

I'd say it was pretty good, taking into considering it's over 20 years old.

I never liked the first one so haven't felt the need to watch the 2nd though I heard it's a bit lighter in tone right?

Maybe it was the hype, but despite its unique tale, it didn't take me away like I expected/hoped it would. It leaves for some okay discussions in the end (mainly solving the riddles of the film to make sure you understand it all), but I'm not about to rush out, buy it, and re-watch it.

JGL's makeup was crazy weird. I know they did things to make him look more like BW, but they didn't do the same things the other way around, so it just looked kind of funny that JGL was the only guy with a heavy makeup look in the film. The eyebrows were all kinds of "whoa." I wish they did maybe a little better in that department.

I would like to venture into the movie thread though, and see what people brought up.

Adam Sandler hasn't exactly been making the greatest movies these days, but I actually enjoyed this one. A lot of pretty funny parts and he wasn't acting way over the top. Nick Swardson was pretty funny as well. Movie looks fantastic on Blu-ray!
