I also saw Sinister as well as Here Comes The Boom. I was pleasantly surprised with both films. Sinister had some really creepy moments which didn't really shock me as much as they disturbed me. That's a good thing because I don't want my horror movies trying to scare the bejesus out of me every time someone turns a corner. Although the ending was predictable I still had a good time watching. With the other movie, it felt a lot like a spoof of Warrior at times but overall was much better than I expected. I'm extremely anti Kevin James, especially his films but I decided to give this a shot and it paid off.

Came back from Jack the Giant Slayer. Had the same reaction to most here. The f/x were tremendous. I was blown away alone by the beanstalk!

The only thing that left me scratching my head in regards to its' inclusion was

                The Hobbit

Wasn't a huge fan of the LOTR movies, but really liked The Hobbit a lot. I didn't really feel like anything was particularly uninteresting, and never found myself wanting to fast forward (like I did quite often with LOTR).

                  No Country for Old Men

Was it this film that people advised me against seeing because it was long and boring? Or was it There Will Be Blood? I hadn't seen either, but it was on Universal HD last night so I checked out NCFOM. I liked it enough and wasn't ever bored. I was really interested in seeing Bardem's performance because he was the Skyfall villain. I thought it was creepy and awesome, especially that market store scene (or was it a gas station?).

I can and cannot be a fan of the Coen Brothers at the same time, and one thing that will always keep people on opposite ends is how they choose to finish their films. Not that it had bad closure, but you're looking for the final message in the film (or end outcome) and you may miss it if you misinterpret what you saw before it.

Overall, it was nicely done with a good protag and... antag? Some nice subtle humor sprinkled around as well. Good Sunday night viewing, followed up immediately by Skyfall.

More likely There Will be Blood.
I've only fallen asleep during or walked out on 3 movies and that's one of them.

                        No Country was great though.

I love both. NCFOM is better, but DDL is just gripping as hell to watch in TWBB.

Hitchcock. Very good drama. I thought Scarlett Johansson was miscast as Janet Leigh, however, but it was not a deal breaker.

I'm meaning to watch that movie myself. How convincing is Hopkins as Hitchock? Some people say it's a bit jarring as he looks like a guy in a fat suit while i've heard some others say he was quite good in it.

I'm a big fan of Alfred Hitchcock, but have yet to see the movie. I may have to check it out.
