Finally saw the Iron Claw. Most people who saw it probably didn't know how it ended (its obviously based on a true story, but the good thing about it is that with the cast such as Zac Efron, it attracts non wrestling fans too), but I went in knowing how dark it gets. Don't think I can see Jeremy Allen White without thinking how he looks like Gene Wilder.
It was better than I thought it'd be. I just figured some R Rated wrestling movie that's a tragedy would just be filled with violence, blood, swearing and everything else, but you wouldn't know it at times. Crazy part of it all is how this didn't even cover everything tragic that even happened.
Sucks that the Von Erichs whole legacy went that way. If not for everything that went down, who knows what the family legacy would've been like today. The way we think of the Harts and now think of the Anoa'i/Fatu family could've been the Von Erichs legacy even today, especially if we really had a huge amount of their family still around today in wrestling (there's only a few I think).
I hope someone does a movie like this on the Hart Family too.Haven't seen that one yet, but the first one hits hard seeing a young innocent kid get turned into a different person due to factors they don't control, and seeing your childhood get wiped out as you grown up.
