Australia. I was expecting a sort of Indiana Jones movie and it turned out to be a long bore fest.

The location and scenery was awesome however.

The International, Just finish watching it. An awesome movie. I know it's fictionl, but i'm pretty sure stuff like this happens all the time. Reminded me a lot of the movie Lord Of War; well at least the thorough motion behind the movie. We need the bad guys or the "middle man" because they fuel both sides.

The cast and actor was superb, and the story was good. The overall pace of the movie was alright as well, not a heavy action flick but it's definitely engaging.

          8.7/10

Gonna watch that soon, Clive Owen is one of my favorite actors. That reminds me too that I still need to see Shoot Em' Up.

                    UP

Another great effort by Pixar, that strangely is in a league of its own when it comes to animation movies. Terrific, terrific piece of film that made me shed a tear at one moment. It doesn't stack up with WALL-E, but it holds its own candle with the wonderful 3D effects.

                    88 Minutes

I have to admit, I wanted to see it more and more after wondering why people despised it so much. I won't say I hated this film, but the director made quite a mess of a film. Not to mention the ending was really nothing spectacular either. It wasn't high testosterone like I had hoped either, but hey... anything with Pacino in it, I think I will admire for at least a second.

                    Righteous Kill

Yet another movie with Pacino, and yet another movie where a better director would have helped save this more than what Pacino and DeNiro had to do to save the plot as is. Scorsese could have done wonders with this like he did with The Departed, but there were some big predictability issues in the screenplay that gave this movie its downfall. Plus, I think switching Pacino and DeNiro in their roles would have been better for this movie as well. Not bad, but I won't get it on Blu-ray unless it falls under $12.

You Don't Mess with the Zohan

It was better than I expected, but this would not have been a movie I would be happy with if I saw it in theaters. It was somewhat of an uneasy movie with just some subtle chuckle moments. Not to mention, I can't believe John Turturro would succumb to such a low level of script and film altogether. I hope Adam Sandler shies away from these kinds of roles forever more, though he was an appealing factor for this movie's success (no homo). I'm glad I only saw it for free On Demand and didn't rent it or anything, otherwise I would have felt very ripped off.

                    Kung Fu Panda

Pretty decent flick, but unlike Pixar, I just don't think that DreamWorks quite "gets" the appeal of some of these animation movies and what they can do that's simply beyond telling a story with animals and inanimate objects. Pixar goes deep into the heart of children and adults alike and takes the best of what we are nostalgic to, and combines it with an underlying message that really sets the tone for the movie. Plus, this movie casted Jack Black, so it had Jack Black comedy, which is not my favorite (though he did give Po a unique personality that was quite humorous). Good, but not spectacular like most people stated.

                    The Hangover

Simply, hilarious. It helps when you're in a theater with others and can laugh along with them (in other words, I probably wouldn't find things as funny if I saw it by myself), but it really did have moments where you would literally go . Well casted and good use of cameo appearances, and it really tried to break more rules than say Knocked Up or Superbad, without involving Seth Rogen at all. Plus, Vegas is always something worth seeing. I need to first figure out its lasting appeal before considering buying it on Blu-ray when it comes out, but for the time being it was a great laugh out loud flick.

                    Henry Poole Is Here

I don't really like Luke Wilson that much, but I do kind of like his style of movies he prefers to be cast in. He won't go entirely Hollywood like his brother, but instead find a contemporary fit where people know him just enough for it to work. This movie had a serene awkwardness to it that I enjoyed, yet it still drew to a more realistic approach unlike that of Fight Club (a movie which I love very much). The message was subtle yet satisfying, and every minute definitely built another question that you wanted to be resolved at the end. I'm sure my parents would enjoy sitting in on it.

Movies I'm still waiting on seeing:

                    - Terminator: Salvation
                    - Star Trek
                    - Drag Me to Hell

just finished No Country for Old Men for maybe the 3rd time.

Anyone know what Cheyger's (sp) gun was? Not the cattle gun, but the one he used against Llewelyn and everyone else. Looked like a suppressed shotgun to me, yet im not sure b

when i first watched those movies, i saw it in that order one right after the other. Two both incredible movies.

                              On topic: Terminator Salvation

Just finished watching it, it was pretty good. A good amount of action and explosions, too bad it didn't do what they expected of it sales wise. I also wanted to see more of Marcus' story. Especially why did they what they did to him......

Overall good flick which will hopefully spawn some good sequels.

                              8.2/10
