Finally watched Boondock Saints. I had never heard of it until my nephew suggested I watch it. I liked it.

Re: What movies have you seen recently? Part 1

Decided to see what all the negative fuss was about and watched One Missed Call on HBO. Yes, it is a terrible movie. No, it is not the worst movie in the world, despite its 0% on Rotten Tomatoes. Though there is kind of a fly in the ointment because 0% simply means that every reviewer gave it a rotten tomato, not that collectively they all agreed it was the worst movie ever made. But it certainly deserves no fresh tomatoes (though a lot of movies do).

From the get-go it was a disaster to even consider that it could be good, just by the plot outline. Could have it been handled better? I can see where they can make some good out of it. Did they? Not in the slightest. I honestly don't even know if it really went for scares, except for maybe trying to do so around the end. Otherwise, even the teenie-boppers on opening night wouldn't ever really have anything to scream about for the first 70 minutes.

        Still sucked... hard.

Confessions of a Shopaholic- What a dog**** movie this was, I mean outside of Isla Fisher being in it, the rest of the movie was unbelievably terrible. I wouldnt sit through this movie again if someone paid me, I mean I might literally have to become single again if my other half asks me to watch it again.

This is on my wife's list, and I have had my doubts about it anyway. Thanks for the headsup and confirming my assumption. When that movie in thrown in, I can go elsewhere.

Just saw Pontypool. Very good unknown horror flick. Scored lots of points for originality, too.

The animated movie Dragon Hunters, actually pretty interesting. The CGI of course is no comparsion to something like Pixar or even Dreamwork, but the last scenes with the big Dragon fight was impressive; as well the scene on the floating ghost city.

The story was simple enough and the characters were alright. Altogether it flowed and made the movie enjoyable

                    7.5/10

Space Buddies - Got this for the kids, and even for a kids movie this was ridiculously bad.

Watched "He's just not that into you." Chickflick, but not too bad. Now, Scarlett Johanssen(sp) is a nice looking girl but her backside is rather wide and round, like a horse. I didn't know he was so full-figured.

(interest in movie has gone up 1000%) think it'll be coming on Starz soon
HBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs was very funny. They gave each comedian/character a chance to shine. I laughed throughout.

My opinion on Transformers: Return of the Fallen I posted in that movie's thread.

Ice Age is worth the ticket. Transformers is worth avoiding.
