?uestlove tweeted that The Beatles "Lovely Rita" walkout song used for Tom Hanks tonight costs $500,000 to play. That's insane, and burns a hole in NBC's pocket more than any of those skits ever did. They still got tons of revenue from all the ad sales and ratings though.

Re: Conan's Reign Begins - The Tonight Show
On an entirely different topic, Bill Hicks was dead on about Leno nearly twenty years ago:

Man....that was amazing. I thought he was gonna bust out some tears during his last little speech before Freebird.Comment

Re: Conan's Reign Begins - The Tonight Show
Great show. Pretty sad though, I really hope that Fox's affiliates decide they want him and he gets back on TV as soon as possible. A truly funny man and a complete class act.Comment

Re: Conan's Reign Begins - The Tonight Show
sure, but last night was probably the highest ratings opportunity of the whole event, and he used it to be classy and have fun his way. I don't even think he mentioned Leno once in the whole show..Comment

Re: Conan's Reign Begins - The Tonight Show
Yeah he probably end up on Fox in the fall. Him, Glen Beck and Hannity can do a show together.Comment

Great sendoff for Conan. I can't wait to see him in the Fall or Winter when he returns.
He killed in the ratings last night pulling in a 7.0. Comparatively, Letterman got a 2.5 and Kimmel a 1.3.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: Conan's Reign Begins - The Tonight Show
January 22, 2010 - The Hollywood Reporter's Live Feed is reporting that six cable networks have been exploring the possibility of bringing Conan O'Brien to their late night schedules.
Up until now the only network discussed that may have interest in Conan has been FOX. While an offer from FOX still remains a strong possibilty, according to The Live Feed various non-broadcast networks are also interested. The list includes FX (sister network of FOX), USA (sister network of NBC), TNT/TBS, Comedy Central, HBO, and Showtime.
The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien's ratings have been steadily climbing in its now-final week, with the show earning a season-high 2.6 rating on Thursday -- with Late Show with David Letterman getting a 0.9 and Jimmy Kimmel Live landing at 0.6.
Conan O'Brien's final Tonight Show will be airing this evening (see our story on his final guests). For more details on O'Brien's exit deal -- valued at $45 million -- see our story on the NBC deal signing.
Really wish it never came to this. I'm gonna miss Conan for these next couple months. I don't mind Kimmel and Letterman and Fallon is getting better (still a little awkward though) but Conan was my favorite. Hopefully wherever he goes, he gets the edge he had on Late Night back.
1 thing is for sure, I'm not watching Leno.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: Conan's Reign Begins - The Tonight Show
I would hate for him to be on either Showtime or HBO since I don't get those channels. I don't think he would go to one of those. I say Fox or Comedy Central.Comment

Re: Conan's Reign Begins - The Tonight Show
Personally, I'd buy a channel that Conan was on if I already didn't have it. That's how fanatical I am about Conan.
In fact, I just finished watching Conan's In the Actors Studio, and it is a fascinating show. I was just riveted... so interesting.Rose City 'Til I Die

Yeah honestly if Conan went to HBO and had a show five nights a week I would buy the channel.Comment

Re: Conan's Reign Begins - The Tonight Show
This will probably get taken down eventually, but here is the very end of the show, for those that didn't see it, featuring Conan, Will Ferrell, Max Weinberg, Ben Harper, Billy Gibbons/Dusty Hill (help?) and others performing Freebird...
