Thank God and good riddance. One less child molester to have to worry about.

I bet the big networks are already scrambling to try to secure the rights to the Michael Jackson Tribute Show or some such thing. An event that will bring out the biggest pop acts to cover Jackson songs not unlike the Freddie Mercury Tribute show. They're probably just waiting for some of the dust to settle and for the funeral process to go through. Whichever network can get the remaining members of the Jackson 5 to sign on will strike it big.

Damn I'm feeling sad today. Not so much for the fact he died, but moreso for how his life played out.

Michael Jackson's death sent producers of Sacha Baron Cohen's latest comedy "Bruno" into a tailspin Thursday as they scrambled to cut scenes in which the comedian takes more than a few shots at Jackson's sister, LaToya Jackson, hours before the film's Los Angeles premiere, AFP reported.
I am happy they thought to do this.

This hit me like a ton of bricks. Even though I was critical of Michael's antics post-"Bad", his earlier music had a huge influence on me growing up and listening to the J5.

            RIP

Tell me about it, man. I still remember watching Michael and his brothers perform "I'll Be There" on the Ed Sullivan Show. Good times....

Looks like Presley is the first (of presumably many) to "clear the air" about her relationship with Jackson:

Re: Michael Jackson has passed away

I was never really a big fan of Michael Jackson, I do love the Jackson 5, but upon listening to his music and watching his videos the last day or so, I realized that he did have quite an influence on me personally. His music especially from the "Off the Wall" album just brought back more personal memories of family and friends than I anticipated, it's really weird. It's like I can relate all his songs to a particular time or even event in my life. I guess he was such a big part of the culture as a whole, being a child of the 80's, that it was hard to escape his influence on even on a personal level, even though I wasn't much of a fan. It really feels like part of my childhood died with him, I'm sadder than I thought I would be.

RIP and my condolences to you die hard fans.

Re: Michael Jackson has passed away

I couldn't even post about it yesterday, I had to take a drive and listen to his music. I can't even count the memories where MJ's music was a part of.

He was an innovator in music and dance. I'm almost sure he's the guy to really start dance routines in music videos. I remember getting into popping/breakdancing because of mj. I remember all the battles we had playing P.Y.T. LOL. He is still the best dancer of all music entertainers.

My sister was required in high school to have a "Michael" routine in her dance team. She ended up doing that routine during college bball halftime shows. You just can't help it, you gotta dance when you hear MJ!

My mom was broken up, because she grew up with MJ too with the Jackon 5. And got me hooked while I was in the womb and was born when Thriller came out.

Thanks Michael for all the memories, I will listen to you to the day I die.

They are already everywhere. Playing Live I have already hear that, "MJ beat it", and other things that are pretty pethetic.

Honestly, now that it sounds like he overdosed, I can't feel much empathy, not that I had much for him, anyways. The dude was a creep and I believe he was guilty several years back. But whatever the case...

It's unfortunate that this is distracting people from the real important news of the day. I never understand the fascination with celebrity happenings, whether it be deaths, lifestyles, marriages, babies, ect. There's a lot of meaningful stuff happening today and Michael Jackson's death is but a blip on the radar.
