I wouldn't trust him in the same room with my kid. That is saying a lot. I don't think he did what they said he did, but I would be shocked either if he did. The man was weird. Talented, but weird!

      Dave Chappelle: Thriller.

Prosecutor: So, would you let your kids sleep over there?
Dave Chappelle: F*** no, you crazy?
While that is funny that is how I feel too. That was funny. Dave is a crack up!

as far as the pedophile accusations, I didnt follow the trials. However, I do know that he was never convicted and people that followed the trial, like the writer of the article that rockchisler posted, have stated they didnt feel he was guilty by the end of the trial.

Michael Jackson was a very weird dude. His life was a freak show circus, especially over the past 15 or 20 years. That is an obvious understatement. However, he doesnt exactly fit the profile of a pedophile. Michael Jackson was more of a perpetual 12 yr old in an adult's body living in a fantasy land with no idea what is normal. He reminds me of the Tom Hanks character in the movie "Big". I dont know if it's because he never had a childhood or what.

This is pretty much how I feel.

So I hearing all this conspiracy talk. About how Mike wasn't able to do a concert and how they slowly killed him, so they can cash in the insurance policies. I don't know, but this could get real interesting.

I'm not going to get into this because, frankly, I don't really care enough about the situation. But it just seems like people are willing to make excuses for celebrities where if it were a normal person, they wouldn't. Thats not just singling out MJ, its that way with all celebrities.

Thats all I'm saying and the last I'm saying as this is rememberence thread and I respect that.

Re: Michael Jackson has passed away

Stevie Wonder played with John Legend at our Summerfest in Milwaukee last night. This was the first time the two played together.

Wonder opened the set with a speech. He said to celebrate the magic and joy in MJ's music and ignore all the gossip and scandal.

According to the paper, Stevie made it into a tribute concert for MJ. Legend came out with Wonder and performed a song called Get It that Stevie wrote and MJ recorded it. After that song, they played a tape, The Way You Make Me Feel.

Once the tape stopped playing, Stevie slumped over at his piano for several minutes. The band looked confused. Stevie's daughter came out to comfort him. Stevie then jumped into a r @ b number. 20 minutes after the silence, Stevie said, I'm not afraid to show my heart, Don't you be afraid to show your heart.

Stevie had Legend come on out for a new song he just wrote and planned to donate to the Jackson family. The title is "In the Arms of God" is a celebration of MJ is now at peace.

Stevie changed the chorus to Superstition to We love you, Michael. We will see you in heaven. The night ended with Stevie and band dancing to taped MJ songs.

                  Interesting.

LOL. For some reason this was one of the first things that popped into my head when all this news broke.

                    RIP Mike.

                    He was the original MJ.

talk about misunderstanding a post. jeez louis. There arent any excuses

everyone has a story as to why they become what they become, celebrities included. Trying to figure out reasons why someone turned out like they did is not "making excuses"

I think you misinterpreted the question. You say you wouldn't trust him with your kids, but he was asking, who is this imaginary grown man that you WOULD trust with your kids that isn't related to you?

All these details coming out about how sick he was and how those vultures tricked him into doing 50 shows while loading him with painkillers to keep him walking.. man, pretty effed up. RIP to a guy who had a horrible childhood, never was able to live a normal life, and died being exploited by people who he thought had his interests in mind. Hope he found some peace.

While I agree I don't feel real comfortable with guys babysitting kids. I am pretty sure if an emergency came up and I had to drop my kid off somewhere, Neverland Ranch would be probably just one step above the Bates Motel on the list.

Any parent who in good conscience left their child there for an overnight needs to have their head examined.
