Re: Community
Did anyone see Joel McHale at the VGX awards? It's like when he's drunk he channels his inner Jeff (which was on dsiplay during the whole show)

Re: Community
Joel McHale did exactly what Joel McHale does. Have none of the producers ever seen Joel's comedy? Did they just go "Hey, he's on Community, geeks like that, get him"?
Joel McHale wasn't what was wrong with the show though, the entire thing was just horrifically prepared.Comment

Honestly as much as I think his character is perfect for community, I don't understand why NBC kept trying to hook him up in pilots priot to community.Joel McHale did exactly what Joel McHale does. But then again, it's NBC....Comment

Re: Community
"Community" Season 5 Feels Like An Old Friend Has Finally Come Home
I’ll admit that I was somewhat wary when three episodes from Season 5 of NBC’s Community surfaced on my desk last week. After all, the fourth season of the Dan Harmon-created gonzo comedy — which was Dan Harmon-less, after all — left a lot to be desired. I choose to look at it as an alt-reality version of a show that I had cherished in its first three seasons: The characters vaguely resembled that Greendale study group with whom I had spent so many virtual hours, yet they didn’t feel quite right. Something was off — the plots felt too contrived, and the show wandered into a broadness of comedy that it had previously adamantly avoided.
Given that, there is quite a lot riding on the Jan. 2 premiere of Community, which sees the return of Harmon as the showrunner of the comedy he created. Fortunately, the three episodes provided to press — Episodes 1, 2, and 4 — go a long way to reassure fans that the show is once more back in the hands of its true caretakers. (Warning: minor spoilers ahead.)PS: You guys are great.

Re: Community
I haven't seen any of Season 4 yet, as I'm still on Season 2, but that's great news. Now I just need to get caught up by January 2nd.Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus

Re: Community
It's getting a 3-episode trial. It's lost its status as an established show to me. If Brie's boobs are on display enough, though, I'll stick around. Worth spending 22 minutes for that.Comment

Re: Community
What a return to form! I laughed harder in those two episodes than I did at most of season 4 combined. In fact, I laughed so hard when the students started rioting and DJ Magnitude angrily yelled "POP POP!" that I had to pause my DVR.
Also: "Shut up, Leonard. Nice earring. You look like the road manager of the California Raisins."

Re: Community
I thought the episodes were more focused than a lot of season four, but that's about it. They were funny, but I was one of those that didn't think a Harmon-less season was that big of a deal either way, so I'm not heralding (or putting down) his return. If the big effect is that it's still funny, but more focused - fine by me.Comment

Re: Community
These were two episodes I'll have to catch again, too many subtle jokes to take in at once. Good stuff.
I know it's weird but I probably laughed the most when Rob Corddry's character walked in and was slow clapping, and Abed can be seen in the background confused about whether or not to join the clap session. Just the way Abed was like "hesitation slow clapping" killed me.Wolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment
