Man those episodes were great. I died when Jeff mentioned the daily meatballs that no one noticed,I had been thinking about the same thing.

Will I be okay not watching any more of season 4 (I think I saw the first 3-4 episodes) and going into season 5?

Nah you don't have to watch season 4 to hop into Season 5.

Also I have to note, I didn't miss Pierce at all until they alluded to him which surprised me because I thought his absence would be very noticeable. Show actually flows better without him I think. Definitely gonna miss Troy though.

Hey, the show I used to consider my favorite on television is back!

That was fun. Those episodes were awesome. I am happy.

Good to know. Only watched the first 2 or 3 episodes last season then dropped off. Glad to hear pretty universally that its returned to form.

Some of my favorite new network comedies:

                Brooklyn Nine-Nine
The Crazy Ones (didn't think I'd like it, surprised it's pretty funny)
                Michael J Fox Show

                The 2nd tier:

                Super Fun Night
                Trophy Wife
                The Goldbergs

Some of these may have already been cancelled.

                Sidenote:

Dads may be the worst TV show I've ever seen. I'd rather watch a Lions game.

Fantastic episodes. Really enjoyed all of the little jokes, like Troy yelling at Zach Brafford for leaving Scrubs after 6 episodes.

As for new comedies, I second Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Thought they were pretty good. Loved Troy's line about Scrubs. If you didn't find them enjoyable it's time to just give up on the show because you have built expectations that have probably surpassed anything the show ever was in the first place.

Found them enjoyable, but not any more so than last season. I enjoyed those just as much as I've enjoyed every season. I've never been a "Harmon-ite" I guess...

I dont know if it has anything to do with being a Harmonite. I love the show. I love the characters. I just didnt find myself laughing that much at the show last year. I laughed more at these two episodes than I did at any episode last year.

I dont think Harmon is a god like some do but I think its clear that someone who created, wrote and ran a show for 3 yrs is going to have a better hold on the show than people who have no connection at all to the show (Guarascio and Port whose Aliens in America show I loved).

With that said, I'm just happy the show is back to making me consistently laugh again.

Brooklyn 99 is becoming pretty solid. I watch the Goldbergs and Trophy Wife but I dont find them hilarious. I typically dont watch multi-cam sitcoms but Mom is pretty funny.

Parks and Rec remains the best sitcom on TV imo.

Yeah, Brooklyn 99 was the only comedy to really emerge this fall for me. For those interested, next year is supposed to be pretty flush with new comedies. Including a new Tina Fey show (and the concept is hilarious).

Absolutely loved this past episode. The only downside is it reminded me of how much I'm going to miss Donald Glover on the show.
