Did not care for this episode. Nothing against the puppets, Jason Alexander, or the story in general. I just hate singing in TV shows.

This. Turned out I wound up watching Glee during Community... something I don't like. They aren't doing much to keep me interested these days.

Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas and Regional Holiday Musical were both "singing episodes" and were some of the best in the series.

I don't think the singing was the problem.

I didn't enjoy either of those episodes too much.

Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas was a masterpiece IMO.

I think the main problem I have with it is that they just kind of launched into it without saying "I like to remember my memories as puppet musicals" to lampshade what they were about to do. Like how in the aforementioned episode played it all as Abed's delusions, and generally tried to be meta. The only meta thing I can remember from Felt in the muppet sequences was the "your skin is so soft, it's like felt".

I see what they were going for on my second runthrough (old school Muppet Show), but it seemed like they said "We'll just throw our characters into the Muppet Show", instead of lampshading incessantly like they did with AUC.

I thought the idea for the Abed episode was good and made sense, I just didn't personally enjoy it much.

And to be fair with the puppet episode, I don't really enjoy the Muppets either.

No, it was earlier and just a little mention. Obviously it was memorable, LOL. I just remember I chuckled and it was about halfway through. .
