Re: Flash Forward -- Season 1
The only one that comes to mind is the injured boy's father being the man in the doctor's flash forward.
But I didn't see that one coming because I thought I heard them say that the kid's parents were both dead. I heard wrong and it threw me off for a second. I had to rewind the episode to figure out what I missed."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: Flash Forward -- Season 1
Any theories to the significance of the kangaroo?SpoilerIt looks like it shows up in a later show again if you watch the previews at the end of the episodeComment

Re: Flash Forward -- Season 1
I'm curious about that as well. I couldn't comprehend how a kangaroo ended up in the middle of downtown LA. My first guess is it escaped from a zoo, but then where are the other animals?"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: Flash Forward
I agree, he's lying.
My thinking is he is probably one of the masked men (or doing something very wrong if not working for them) and is using pure semantics to illustrate his thoughts. He knows he'll end up doing something wrong and he knows that when he's caught, he'll be as good as dead.
I was also thinking that he might be the father of the baby. Of course, he probably wouldn't know that from his flash forward, but I keep thinking that he's the father. Either way, the father is going to be someone we've already met.Comment

Re: Flash Forward -- Season 1
My first inclination was that it was from the zoo as well but when no other animals showed up after the kangaroo I started thinking there is more to it. What that is I can't even start to hazard a guess yet.Comment

Re: Flash Forward
It could just be a symolic meaning. You guys might know the myth where kangaroo came from "I don't understand", and it could just be there to show that they don't understand what happened. Now how it got there, I have no guess better than all yours.Comment

Re: Flash Forward -- Season 1
That is one of the other ones I was thinking of. I just figured from the nature of the show it wouldn't be just a random joe she was with. Not sure where it clicked for me, but before they showed him I knew it was going to end up being him. They foreshadowed it, guess I just happen to catch it.Comment

Re: Flash Forward
I didn't even consider that. I wondered about it while watching the show, but completely ignored it afterwards.
