How could we connect the dots given the last flash forward?


I completely disagree with you but would still be curious to hear the dots you have connected. It just seems to me there are too many questions that are left unanswered. What are all the conclusions you were able to come to?

Well, the flash forward didn't lay out what exactly where the story would have went, but I would venture to say that Mark was presumed dead, but Charlie was convinced he was still alive but kidnapped. In the future, it is suggested he is found. It is also suggested that Agent Noh and his girlfriend lawyer have a child and get married. As well as Janis having her son, shown opening a Christmas gift.

Sure, some of that could be wrong and I know there is a lot more than I don't know, but I'm just going on what I believe might have happened in the future. There is a lot of story we weren't told, but the finale worked in a way in which the viewer could come up with scenarios as to what happened after the blackout.

I'm not saying the finale was conclusive or gave us everything we need to know, but it worked in a way in which we can use our imagination. It's not perfect, but it's enough to at least give you some help at deducing a conclusion.

Is it a good series finale? No, it is very inconclusive. However, I also don't mind, as I knew it wasn't coming back for more and it went out on a note in which I can at least hypothesize what would have happened. It could have simply ended with everyone fainting and that's it...black.

I don't like that the show was cancelled, but given the low ratings, I understand it. The problem is, there was only so much further they could go with the idea. They probably drug the whole season out a bit too far and would have kept more people interested with a shorter story line instead of the whole season to get to April 29th.

The other issue is, what else was there to look forward to? They spent a whole season on one blackout, which is a novel idea the first time, but then, to have another blackout and go through everyone sharing what they saw, and finding clues one by one probably wouldn't have kept too many people around.
