    Re: Flash Forward

It's not looking good for Flash Forward. I hope we get a legit ending for it. At least ABC is pushing ahead. I wonder what they'll do if V fails next week. ABC is throwing a lot of their marketing efforts in convincing LOST fans that these shows will replace their beloved shows next season. Not looking good.

    As for last night's episode:

Is it just me or does anyone really care about this father-daughter military Jericho story? I find it to be boring and, well, mostly ridiculous. It doesn't fit the theme of the show at all. We already have one big conspiracy for the show, there's no need for a second one that adds absolutely nothing to the events on the show. It's just there and frankly, because it made up 50% of last night's episode, I couldn't wait for it to be over.

What makes it worse is that there was no real development in the actual plot. So we know that Lloyd knows D. Gibbons. Big whoop. Everyone knew that already except for Mark.

The Lawyer fiancee is an interesting subplot because it deals with the investigation but really, it did a lot of nothing as well.

I can see the need to have several involving story lines like LOST, but unlike LOST, the stories just don't matter. Some of them do, but most of them are a waste of the viewer's time.

They just need to get to the heart of the matter and push forward. Stop with this extra fluff drama.

      Re: Flash Forward

I could care less about the military storyline and the nurse/doctor story line (Bryce I think his name is). A giant "who cares" for those. This was a classic filler, catch up episode after a decent two hours last week.

Another pet peeve, they showed in the previews that the gun wasnt in the lockbox. So when it got to the end, there was no mystery, we all knew it was coming. Lame.

Carlos, it tanked again in the ratings and continues to go on a downward spiral. ABC was looking at this show and V to get LOST fans migrating to both shows.....but I have this bad feeling that V may not do well either. It was a long break for 2 new shows and people have probably forgotten about both of them.

Yep, ABC killed both shows because they wanted to win May sweeps. Poor planning. You can't win May sweeps if no one watches the shows.

ABC lost their 10 million sci-fi fans. And now NBC is airing a new JJ Abrams spy show for the fall. ABC lost.

This made me furious. The entire build up of that segment was ruined in the previews. I have never watched a preview ruin a cliff hanger. Never. Needless to say, I immediately changed the channel. No more Flash Forward previews for me.

              Re: Flash Forward

My beef with this show...you can see that the things everyone is doing are going to lead to whatever they saw in the FF. I'm pretty sure Gabrielle Union's character will have a stake in her fiance's death. That's the first thing i thought of with the way she was acting in her FF to everyone else gathered in the memorial.

As or the father/daughter deal i think that company that kidnapped her did the same to Lloyd, don't know how it will relate, but thats what i think. Either way ABC f'd up in holding this and V off for all those months.

Yeah, I don't care at all for the military storyline mostly because I hate those 2 characters. They both just constantly act angry towards everything, which I get from their past, but its not very interesting to watch. I think they just picked up too many side stories to follow. Maybe the military storyline would be fine if it was one of the only side stories, but there's the nurse and the Japanese girl, the other nurse who is getting drowned, and the female FBI officer's pregnancy, all of which I don't care about.

It also hurt this episode that the most interesting character got 15 seconds of screen time.

                  Re: Flash Forward

I don't mind the military storyline, as I'm usually a sucker for dudes getting revenge.

The male nurse and Japanese chick storyline is worthless. Same with the babysitter/nurse chick being drowned. Same with the pregnant chick. Even the main storyline is pretty ridiculous.

I also agree with whoever was complaining about Mark. That dude is awful. Every line he delivers is bad.

That said, the show's still fairly enjoyable. Better than V, that show's unwatchable. I can't see either of these shows doing much to keep the Lost viewers around.

                    Re: Flash Forward

I haven't watched the previews, but I'd be shocked if the military story was worthless. I'd bet they had something to do with the flashforward technology.

While the show is decently entertaining, it's nice to see ABC getting punished for their incompetence.

Agreed on ABC. Unfortunate for the actors and creator of the series.

The only new show they have handled well is Modern Family.

Give it time. I'm sure they are up for a board meeting soon.

I have won like 25 Super Bowls in Madden so I am kinda a big deal.

Something to consider in the life of this show.

Special Agent Janis Hawk (Christine Woods) has been tabbed as the female lead in an NBC pilot entitled "Perfect Couples."

It's in second position meaning that she can drop the gig if Flash Forward is picked up for a second season, but the fact that she's already looking for another job makes me think she isn't confident it'll return.

I doubt she dies, though I guess that's possible too.
