AT&T/Verizon - Shots fired

Verizon has been on the "attack" with many media advertisements downing AT&T's network coverage. One of my favorites:

AT&T has been busy responding. They have taken Verizon to court regarding these ads and have also issued the following:

Am I the only one enjoying this? I love this sort of stuff. Just pushes them both to give us more data, cheaper rates and so forth. We, the consumer, wins!

You're not the only one Pared. There is another commercial like that one where the elves give coal to a kid with the Verizon phone.

I agree with you both... this competition stuff is GREAT. If only we could see more of that in our videogames again

I'm surprised AT&T hasn't come out with an ad saying how Verizon locks their phones down and basically anything none Verizon, you can't put on it.

Thanks. I have AT&T and was planing on getting a Iphone. but the Droid looks cool too. My area has pretty good coverage so maybe I will stick with AT&T and get the Iphone instead. Plus my mom and best friend are on AT&T.

At&t is so spotty in az. Verizon has worked for me almost 100%, I can't believe since I been with them I had not one dropped call or never lost coverage anytime I used it. Then I probably have to say it's worked 100% of the time for the last 2 years.

My roommate has an iphone and complains about the coverage whenever he goes more east of phoenix or other parts of the county.

That new htc droid is pretty awesome, its as smooth as the iphone. I might have to switch in a 8 months when i can upgrade. I do like my Blackberry tour though but always wanted a really good touchscreen phone comparable to the iphone.

I work for Verizon Wireless and there is a definite attitude amongst the upper execs that they are not going to back down from AT&T. I've never seen such a gung-ho attitude about hate vs a competitor as I have since I've been here at VZW. Although when I worked for T-Mobile they were obsessed similarly with hating on Verizon wireless (they didn't seem to pay any attention to hating on AT&T for some odd reason). It's certainly pretty interesting!

As for VZW's network, no wonder it's the best, they spend by far more on their network than any of their competitors. I mean for as much money as they make they just throw it right back into the network. I can't compare VZW's to AT&T but having worked at VZW and T-Mobile both I can safely say T-Mobile's network and their philosophy on putting money into it is a JOKE.

I have att and the only problem i had was when i was in "A" School in Petaluma, CA but other then that ive never had a problem and since I live in Alaska right now its really att or one of the alaska carriers. Verizon is crappy up here especially the internet

Great commercial and those are hard to find now in days.

I also really like the Droid "iCan't" commercial that mocks Apple's advertising.
