Mind you, I never did it with Sprint since I couldn't there. Just saying I'm used to it now so I'd get frustrated if I needed to do it while talking to someone while parked in the car, on the bus, in a store buying something, etc.

Can't tell you how often I've gone into Best Buy, went to buy something, called the future Mrs. and discussed if it made more sense to buy something off Amazon while I looked at the price...

The Apple ads are solid. Like Verizon's, they point out a clear area they're better, and do it effectively. Right now I don't think dual use is as big a deal, but I'm sure if I had it I'd use it more, obviously.

The AT&T ads are just Luke Wilson whining and not really getting a point across.

Those ads would've been more effective if they had him and Will Ferrell going "You're my boy, blue!"

My brother works for verizon and he is raving about this new htc snapdragon that'll be coming out. Supposedly 1 ghz speed phone, with a 5 mp camera, 4.3 inch touchscreen display with android 2.0 os. Sounds like it could be a true iphone competitor. He was saying it's so fast that if the phone is completely off that it'll turn on as fast as a tv can.

I really don't know what most of the specs mean but he says it'll be extremely fast and on verizon's network it'll be a huge seller.

The only problem with that phone is that it runs Windows Mobile.

I have heard apple isn't happy about AT&Ts lack of network to support to iPhone. They are just to overwhelmed.

The knock on the iPhone is only being able to use one app at once, you can't look at multiple things and tab between them or whatnot, you have to fully exit one app to get to another. Like the talk/browse at the same time issue, I could see how this would annoy some people

Yup. If you're not jailbroken, this is certainly true.

This is where I think the competition is good...Apple's gotta be on their game, rather than coasting like they have been for a while.

I don't think they've been coasting... they've just been developing other things as opposed to the iPhone's aesthetics.

I fully expect some sort of solution in 2010 one way or another... not to mention, push notifications are pretty damn cool.

Yeah, they're doing stuff, I dunno...Just think getting them pushed by competition is good, I think they could do better than they have been.
