Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
If LTE matters to you, there is supposed to be a Samsung with a slide out keyboard coming soon (latest Verizon map said 9/8) but besides a picture there's not much else known about it.

Also new for T-mo will be the HTC Amaze.
It will be considered a 'slight' upgrade over the Sensation.Comment

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
Not sure who posted this already, but I rooted my EVO with the Mik 3D ROM and I highly recommend it.
It is amazing how bad the stock ROM was for me. It was killing me in terms of text messages being out of order..battery life sucking, speed and just tons of bloatware.
My phone now can easily last me another couple years if I need it to.Comment

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
Oh my goodness. I can't wait for that. I might be finally saying bye bye to my iPhone for good. I had done it with the Nexus One, but I went back blindly.
The nexus one was probably the best phone i've ever had in my life. Like seriously. I want another one. I'm currently looking for a phone now to replace my iPhone 4. It's just crapping out on me... Proximity sensor doesn't work, not picking up signal any of that. Would take it to Apple but I did a housing swap to the white so you know how that goes lol.
Thinking about picking up the Nexus S and taking it back early next month. Anybody used it?PSN: FiSH_M3ATComment

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
Yeah, if this is out in October I'll have to get it...also looking at the HTC Vigor and LG Revolution 2. I need to replace my original Droid in October (well, I'm up now, but good new LTE phones come out in October, so I hope one of them is crazy awesome).Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
I've heard them coming out with a version of a different name (Samsung Celox) but it is not the same as the GS2.
This is really the only phone that I want.
But what's up with Verizon.
FWIW...I also heard Apple was trying to forbid Samsung from releasing the GS2. Something about infringement because it's too similar to the iPhone. Same goes for the Galaxy Tab I believe.Comment

Does anyone know why Verizon is having so many problems getting the Samsung Galaxy S2?

Some analyst speculate it is because of the Apple/Samsung thing. Verizon doesn't want to ruin it's relationship with Apple.
And, don't worry. Galaxy S2 will be released and sell well. Rumor has it, $350 without a contract. Aggressively priced.
As much as I wanted one, it might be too late. I checked out what's on the deck for T-mobile, and the HTC Amaze looks beautiful.
However, Verizon will release Samsung Droid Prime. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2392025,00.aspComment
