Re: Official DROID Discussion Thread
I really like it. Yeah, it could be better (especially for touch typing, IMO it's tough to get a feel for that), but I really like phones with physical keyboards, makes texting so much easier.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Official DROID Discussion Thread
For those computer programming types, the Android dev tools are pretty damn cool.
It's a lot of different things to install to get it all working, but they have a site that tells you what to do. Best using Eclipse IDE.
I got it running, created a simple "Hello World" app, and installed it to my phone, so now I have a completely useless Hello World app on there haha, but it's cool it's that easy.
For the iPhone you have to pay like 300 bucks or more to develop, that sucks balls.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Official DROID Discussion Thread
Our AT&T service here is atrocious, so we're changing to Verizon, but man... $150 for the phone, I'm not sure. They're giving us either a Droid or Droid Eris for free along with my phone, so the wife will have a phone as well. I'm trying to get them to throw in another incredible though.Twitter - WTF_OS

I know you want another Incredible, but the Droid is no slouch my man. I wouldn't get the Eris over the Droid though.Originally posted by J. ColeFool me one time that's shame on you. Yeah, but the PS3 was no money out of pocket, just sold the 360 and iPhone, pocketed some cash, and got a PS3 as well.

Re: Official DROID Discussion Thread
It def seems that the hardware for mobile devices has finally caught up enough to produce a truly awesome experience with the Android OS.
With the iPhone, you can obviously run lackluster hardware because you really are only doing one thing at a time most of the time.
With Android you have widgets pulling information in the background, twitter timing itself in the background to pull notifications, google voice running to push voicemail updates etc. etc.
It's really a great OS with snapdragon processor, I don't regret adding a line to my account just to get it.“Nobody in the history of the game tried what I just tried. We’re talking about on the biggest stage, in New York, playing out of position and asked to hit fourth for the New York Yankees. I mean, that’s never been done.” - Sheffield on SheffieldComment

I would like to see internal storage combined with SD card slots in the future though.Originally posted by J. ColeFool me one time that's shame on you. Fool me twice can't put the blame on you. Fool me three times, **** the peace sign, load the chopper let it rain on you.

Re: Official DROID Discussion Thread
Kevin Rose of Diggnation dissed the Incredible very hard on his show. Saying it felt cheap and Android sucks because none of the apps do anything perfectly or as smoothly as the I-phone apps do. However he does like the camera on the Incredible though.
But anyway........Android 2.2 with Flash suppose to be coming out next week to the Droid.Comment
