Slab, I have both on my phone. Do you have a preference?

 Re: Official Android Discussion Thread

I actually prefer Android Wear, just because Moto Connect would disconnect randomly. You would think their app would work best for their watch, but not so, IMO.

 Re: Official Android Discussion Thread

Got my Moto X Pure today. It was a total surprise because Motorola said it wouldn't be here till the 6th.

It's pretty awesome so far. Love stock Android. I was a little concerned about the screen not being as good as my Note 4 since its LCD and not Amoled, But it looks just as good imo. I just have to decide whether or not to get a case. It's such a cool looking phone with the colors I chose and hate to cover them up. But it feels a little hard to hold. I'm just afraid I'm gonna drop it.Comment

I'm gonna try it all again tomorrow from scratch. Uninstalling Android Wear and Connect and reset the phone. See if they helps

 Re: Official Android Discussion Thread

We'll Motorola CS is closed today. After resetting my watch and deleting and loading the Adriod Wear app, it look like my watch and phone are synced. Unfortunately for some reason my watch won't update to 5.1 Andriod Wear. It's still running 4.4. I also can't download any watch faces, cause they won't sync.

My wife's watch on the other hand, has been working flawlessly. Watch is updated to AW 5.1. I even was able to get a watch face from the Play store onto her phone.

EDIT: After doing some research it's recommended to download an older APK of Andriod Wear. This will allow you to receive your OTA Update on Gen 1 MOTO.

So I downloaded an older APK of Andriod Wear and sure enough it worked.

My watch updated and I'm good to go. Man the andriod communirt is so FN AwesomeLast edited by bigfnjoe96; 12-31-2015, 12:33 PM.Comment

 Re: Official Android Discussion Thread

Good to hear you got it working Joe. I was going to mention the software version mismatch, but I assumed your new watch was already loaded with 5.1.1. - anyway, enjoy!

I take it you've already downloaded Watchmaker and Facer?

 Re: Official Android Discussion Thread

For those who have the Note 5, how are you liking it and how is the battery life? I wasn't in the market for a new phone but AT&T pulled a fast one on all the 2 year legacy contract folks to stop offering them all together by next week. I currently have an M8 and love it.Comment

Bah! The battery in my M8 is taking a crap it seams. It's been turning off a lot lately when I'm still reading 15-20%.

Been very happy with it and for the first time ever I hadn't been contemplating a new phone each time the latest and greatest came out. I guess I gotta get on the market for something new anyway.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

 Re: Official Android Discussion Thread

Mine has been ok for the most, but I did download the Marshmallow update a week or so ago (I have the unlocked M8) and it has made a world of difference in battery life. The Doze mode is the truth. I can take my phone off the charger and if I don't use it for say 3 or 4 hours, it may drop 1%. I've been loving it! If the battery life on the Note 5 is just ok now, I can see it doing the same for it when it gets the update.Bah! The battery in my M8 is taking a crap it seams. I wish i could get Marshmallow on my M7....better battery life would be great, otherwise I'm really happy with it still so holding off on upgrades.Mine has been ok for the most, but I did download the Marshmallow update a week or so ago (I have the unlocked M8) and it has made a world of difference in battery life.
