Just ordered a Huawei P9 plus to give a break from Samsung. Saw that the camera was rated really high so that's something I'm looking forward to.

Exciting stuff! Lemme know how that phone is. Big fan of Huawei ever since I had the 6P and been looking at a bunch of Huawei phones since then.

Very impressed. Very fast phone, smooth and the pictures and options have been awesome.

Is it a big upgrade from my note 5? No its not. Slightly better pictures and the phone feels better in my hand though. The antenna is great and have been making calls. Touch screen is great too but it's been a day and need to really give a test this week.

One of reasons I got it is because my note started not getting calls or making calls which is terrible for a hotel business. I need to find out what's wrong with it but couldn't afford to keep losing calls and not be able to make them.

I'll have to do a hard reset and see if that fixes the problem

Thanks for the update, my friend. Always curious about people's first hand experience with phones, especially the more rare ones. Happy to hear you like it. Update us again in a week or so on how you're finding it.

I was on iPhone for about 7 years and got the Pixel during Verizon black Friday sale. I love this thing. I might go back and see if I can return it for the XL and pay off the difference. Still deciding.

A friend of mine has the XL, it's a great phone. Haven't seen the regular Pixel in person so I have nothing to compare it to but I think you'd be happy with the XL.

Yeah I had an iPhone Plus so I know the size. Just can't decide if it's worth extra price for it. Have no issues surfing the web and other apps on the Pixel right now. XL will be good for streaming TV while at work late night.

Still getting used to everything Android.

I made the switch from iPhone two years ago. I am loving the Pixel as well. Let us know if you have any questions or want app recommendations.

                    Re: Official Android Discussion Thread

So my dad had his phone repaired a couple weeks ago and they messed up and erased all his pictures and stuff he saved. My mom made a ruckas and demanded a new phone, I told her to go for the galaxy s7 but the shop couldn't afford it so they just gave her about 300 bucks for the damages.

I told my dad just to get a Lenovo or Asus phone and we can use it for the hotel. I was expecting a regular, dime a dozen android phone.

He ended up getting a Lenovo Vibe shot. Not bad all, it has a 16 mp camera and it has a couple unique features for shooting shots like a physical switch for auto and pro camera.

I'm gonna have to take some shots with it tomorrow with more light but totally surprised what he got and he also got a free powerbank and cell phone tripod.

Can honestly say I've never heard of that phone before. Sounds interesting though.

When it comes to phones, I don't need the latest and greatest. I had my Galaxy S3 for quite a while, but it was slowing down on me and I figured I might as well get something else. After doing some research, I decided on a ZTE ZMax Pro and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I love the size, speed and the price was just right. I didn't expect finger print unlocking on a mid level phone, but it has that as well. The only real downside is that the camera isn't anything special. It's not horrible or anything like that, but if camera quality is a big selling point for you, you'll probably want to look elsewhere. Other than that, I highly recommend it for those looking for a good phone that doesn't break the bank.

So after a week or so on the Huawei P9 i gotta say, I love this phone. The antenna is great, I been getting calls from all over the island and I had issues with my note 5 getting calls and text from just the hotel.

The camera is amazing, been taking some great pics lately on my instagram.

The phone is premium, well designed and the battery life has been great also and really like the type C usb, I feel like it won't bend like a typical micro usb which I've had issues with that with many devices.

I think I'll probably stay with Huawei for another generation unless Samsung blows it out of the water later.

I love mine. In my line of work, it's highly preferable not to pull out your phone in front of the public so checking a notification on my watch has been great. Saves my phone battery too.
