Samsung Galaxy S4 coming March 14th
The countdown has begun and fans of the Galaxy line of smartphones are about to get another refresh, as the new Galaxy S4 will be unveiled on March 14th. After huge success with the S3 and Note II, Samsung hopes to once again make waves in the mobile market by way of a newer smartphone. The location of the event is as of yet still undisclosed, but New York seems to make sense as that’s where the Galaxy Note II was launched. Samsung has been doing very well and they are the only real competition to Apple’s iPhone. So far only Samsung has been able to keep both a steady stream of new technology and a monstrous marketing campaign that keeps the Cupertino folks on their toes.
The Galaxy S IV is rumored to have a 4.99-Inch SuperAMOLED display with full HD Resolution of 1920X1080.It’s also rumored to sport an Exynos Octa 8-Core CPU, a Mali T678 8-Core GPU, 2GB of memory, 13 Megapixel rear facing camera that is capable of shooting full 1080p HD Video at 30 FPS. There is also a 2 Megapixel front facing camera capable of shooting 720p HD Video. If the camera is improved over the previous generations than that will be amazing as thus far the camera on all the Galaxy products has been able to take awesome video and photos.
The S IV will come running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean right out of the box. With new innovations and a new flagship phone, Samsung gets ready to enter the fray with a big bang that hopefully we show great sales volumes for the company. Are you a Samsung fan yourself? Do you think the new Galaxy S IV will be a giant success in 2013? Let me know wheat you think as your opinions are the wind in the sails of my articles and I want to hear what you have to say.Comment

I think it's time I root my Nexus. Never really needed too before, but Verizon has pretty much dumped this phone. And the reason I got it was the fact that it is a pure google phone.Moderator

I rooted mine once I realized Verizon were four android updates behind all the other Nexus carriers and had no intention of updating.
Luckily Nexus development is pretty big and active

For those Nexus owners looking to root, once rooted I highly recommend downloading Maddoggin Rom. He's updated to 4.2.2 and this baby is silky smooth with some nice bells & whistles
I'm running it & love it
Once your ready or are rooted and want to give his rom a try PM me

I'll post my worst experience in hopes that it helps make a decision.
The closest I've been to bricking my phone is when it hung in the middle of the process and the new rom wouldn't finish installing. I had never had problems before, so stupid me had removed all roms and nandriod backup on the phone except the new one I was trying out. Without any operating system on the phone it wouldn't boot and without an alternative rom or nandriod to install i was stuck. Since the phone wouldn't boot up I couldn't connect it to my pc to put another rom on it to install either.
I posted on AndroidForums and was helped within the hour. Using a combo of volume buttons, power button, and timing is was able to force it into Hboot and mount it so the PC would recognize it. Transfer a nandriod back on and it was back in business.

Also make sure you have the stock ROM downloaded and saved to PC so you can always go back to square one.
