Tweetcaster Pro is pretty nice for Twitter. I've tried others and always go back.

Tweetdeck looks the best to me so I use that as my main option. I also have Tweetcaster and Ubersocial. Tweetdeck locks up when I try to jump back up after a bunch of hours have passed. Gets annoying.

This Tweetlanes one doesn't even show up in my Google Play search. Weird.

Gotta admit lately I've been using the online store to push apps to multiple devices. Easy breezy. Could use a ,massive update to the layout, though.

An integrated browser is so crucial for me, especially a speedy, lite one. Guess that's a big reason why Plume and Falcon Pro have been my most used.

So many Twitter apps though lol

The one thing I absolutely loved about tweet bot was it included a thumbnail of a pic of it was tweeted. Do any of those clients have this?

Question that I am assuming to ask in this thread: (Although I imagine it is more of a hardware issue instead of an Android issue, but I'm sure I will find someone who knows the answer in here)

I have a Droid Razr, love the phone. I've had it for about a 16 months now, and it is considerably slower now than it was when I bought it. For example, apps loading slowly, few seconds of delay for my home screen to appear with all the icons correctly when I hit the home button. Stuff like that.

If I went through and purged a bunch of things (apps, old texts, pictures, files, etc.) that I've accumulated over the last year+, would that improve the performance of the phone?

If you mean like an inline image preview, I feel like most apps have this functionality built in by now. Many of the aforementioned apps do, at least. Every one is missing something, though. Little things. Falcon Pro, for instance, offers pretty limited viewing for other users info like followers / following. It displays something like 20. Little things, which means you kinda gotta check em all or read the reviews etc etc

Tough because I don't believe there is a trial version for Falcon Pro, yet, but well worth price of admission. What's a couple bucks..

could just be the vicious cycle that is technology. The more months that pass the more resources an app requires and the slower a phone is to run it or you could always just run a faster rom

I assume you aren't rooted, so I would suggest a first step would be to backup important data and do a factory reset. As for backing up apps, data, messages (things unlike pictures, music etc etc) I'm not sure what people are using for non root backup tools ... I see helium apparently has issues with Motorola devices, so I'm not sure how far that issue would go for all the backup apps..

This backup tool requires 4.0+, and it looks like the Razr has 4.0.4 ...

With this tool, you can completely backup your device without root or unlocked bootloader. I have tested it so far only with my Galaxy Nexus, but it should also work with other devices running Android 4.0+. So you can unlock your bootloader...

Obviously your device is getting pretty old, 1GB of RAM sure as **** isn't what it used to be. I'd maybe double check your apps and memory management, though, as you may have some rotten apps that are hogging system resources. A little lag or stutter is one thing, but if your device starts to crawl and is showing performance unseen until recently, something is probably not playing nice. Always good to take stock of apps, see if you can trim some unncessary fat, but I still think a factory reset would be a good starting point. The phone is definitely going to be showing it's age, though.

Ahh, that'll do it. Apologies, that should've been the first thought. lol

So, I'm going to be getting my first smart phone in a couple of days (I know, way late to the game, but such is the nature of being broke), any advice? I think I'm leaning towards android because it seems to be more customizable and just generally less restrictive than apple's iOS. I still have to look through the different phones and decide which hardware will be best for me, and price will definitely be a factor, but any advice is appreciated.

Hmm, are you already tied to a carrier? I think that'd be the first place to start.. If not, I'd check coverage maps and plan details to compare and see what seems like the right move.

yea it's gonna be AT&T. I think I was lookin at somethin like the HTC One or LG Optimus G Pro. Idk, probably could go with an iphone though.

Has anyone gone from an iPhone 4 to a S3? I'm thinking of doing that. Due for an upgrade. iPhone is on it's last legs. WalMart near me has the S3 for about $40.

Left my iPhone to get a thunderbolt a couple years ago and exchanged it back after a couple days. So I'm somewhat hesitant to do it again. But I've heard nothing but good things about the S3

Does AT&T no longer offer a device exchange within 14 days or whatever it tends to be? Might have a restocking fee, but don't quote that..

Test drive the iPhone or an Android phone, starting with what you might be more interested in.. Should be able to call a store and inquire as to what, if any, their policy is in that regard.
