I have the G3 and no complaints about battery life on my end. I usually need to charge it the same as any other phone I've ever had.

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
Not that I don't like it. I do like it. That's why I feel some kinda way about trading it for the Note 4. Wish I could keep both. I'm just not confident in lg supporting it with timely updates. I just know the Note 4 will be a beast with better processor, bigger battery, and the QHD display I like.

Re: S5 or M8
I've not used an S5 but I've used plenty Sammy devices before. Between the 2 they're almost identical internally. To that end, the decision will come down to physical build and software skin. In my opinion, Sense 6 is the skin that alters Android the least and I love that about the HTC One M8. It has useful features and don't get me started on the build quality. The camera, in my opinion, is nowhere near as bad as folks will have you believe. Battery life is also really good. I use Battery widget reborn in my notification tray and it tells me consistently that my battery will be dead at least 20 hours from unplugging.
Just got my M8 on Tueday and can definitely see using it for the next 2 years!!!

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
Welp, I'm doing it, I'm leaving iOS. Preordered the Charcoal Black Note 4 last night. Had a Sammy rep give me about a 30 minute demo... phone is absolutely sick and will be aweosme for me for work.
Very excited.Comment

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
I just upgraded to an M8 yesterday. I'm still learning about it but I really like it so far. I considered the S5 but got turned off when flipping through the home screen and noticing it was laggy, even after I restarted it.
There's a few little things I'm going to have to get used to in terms of the build of the phone. I don't care for the lock button being at the top of the phone, the headphone jack being at the bottom and there not being an actual home button, but those are all really minor things that I won't care about once I get used to it.
I really like the Blinkfeed feature and the speaker sounds great with Boomsound. Also, the screen is pretty gorgeous. Even more so when you consider I'm coming from using a smashed up GS3 screen with a pink line of dead pixels running down it for the past year+, lol.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
After using it for a few days now my only knock on the M8 would be the height... Well maybe I should say the placement of the power button because if it was on the side the height wouldn't matter that much...

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
I did the same. Kept going back and forth on black or white though. I ended up with black. Can't wait to get my hands on this.
Where did a Sammy rep give you a demo?Comment

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
One thing I did to make sure I never really have to use the power button was downloading the "screen off and lock" app. Basically just an icon you can place on your home screen to lock the phone. Combined with the double tap/swipe to unlock and you really don't have to deal with the power button.Comment

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
I would also like to know where you saw the demo. The note 4 looks really nice. My biggest concern is will it be too big? I'm also coming from from IOS and I'd like to try something else..
