    Re: Official Android Discussion Thread

Hey guys, We just switched to AT&T and my wife and I got two free Note 4's. I'm coming from an iPhone and had iPhones for probably like the last 3 years, but ready to try Android again. Anyway, to the point. Is the Note 4 still a really good phone to have? I went with a 2 year contract because I don't want to pay for a phone every month, that was killing us with Verizon. But anyway, I really like how AT&T has such a large selection of phones due to it being GSM.

I'm kinda interested in the Moto X and Nexus line.

So I was just curious about that aspect of it. If anyone's used these phones and what they think.

    Thanks

Thats what I currently have. One of the best phones out there period. Still has expandable storage and removable battery as well as a great screen and camera.

My next unit will likely be the Note 6 even though the 5 is nice, im sure the 6 will be even better.

I mean i've skipped getting an iphone twice in favor of a note phone. It's hard to go back to anything not offering as much

Anyone have the Galaxy Tab S2? How do you like it after the newness factor has worn off? I tried one out in Best Buy in search of an iPad alternative and I liked it. I'm hesitant on buying it because i'm being cheap right now but when I get over it i'm going to make a decision between that and the iPad. Would love to hear some feedback.

I miss android so bad. After deciding there was no point to paying for my own phone service when work pays for my phone and any data overages. But my new firm only does iPhones so it's been like 2 years since i used and android phone. Still have my S5 for games tho.

The nexus 6P is on sale for $449 with free overnight shipping. Thinking if I should pull the trigger and try it out...

I had what I think was the original Nexus on Verizon years ago for like a week maybe. I loved the phone. It was amazing, however there was something wrong with the radio and it barely got any reception so I returned it and got something else. I guess it was a known issue at the time. This is why I think I really want a Nexus 6 at some point soon. I loved the pure Android experience.

I guess this would fall under this thread, but like I said a few posts ago, we just switched to AT&T. I placed my order online in like the middle of the night 3 days ago. For some reason I got an email saying it didn't go through at like 6am and to call them to complete the order. They opened at 7am so I stayed up and called. Turns out it had something to do with number portability but they supposedly fixed it. But then the lady told me they had to delete my whole order and redo it.

So we did the order over the phone and I was supposed to get express overnight shipping. Well the next day my phones didn't show up and I checked the tracking and they were still in Texas. I'm in Ohio. So then I see in the tracking info that the shipping is 2 day priority. So ok, whatever. I was mad but what can you do. So day 2 rolls around and still no phones. Tracking still says they are in Texas. So I call USPS and it took me like an hour to figure out how to finally talk to a human. They tell me that the shipment must have gotten delayed due to high shipment volumes. Okay, I get it. Its Christmas and everyone is shipping everything right now. But I was supposed to get overnight shipping. So I'm kinda pissed. I call ATT back and ask then what went wrong with the shipping and they tell me someone must have clicked the wrong shipping button. UGH!!!

So now the tracking says its left Texas and the expected delivery date is tomorrow the 18th. But I'm not holding my breath. Not a good start with ATT.

                Sorry, just had to vent.

Does anybody have the LG G4? I currently have an S5, but my parents offered to buy me a new phone for christmas, and the G4 is the one I'm leaning towards. Reviews tend to be favorable for it (one I read compared it to the S6 and gave the G4 the edge in every category)

Excellent! I was sort of turned away from Samsung after they started removing the expandable memory, so I'm definitely trying something new this time.

Mine came with 32GB and you can expand as much as you want.

Phones came today but the number porting wasn't done and I had to talk to 3 different people at customer care to get it done. One of the guys was a complete moron and transferred me to Verizon. How that happens I have no idea.

But finally got them set up and I am really loving the phone so far. My wife is a little iffy on it but she has had an iphone for like 5 years. So I think she just needs time to get used to it.

They love to transfer lol. They once messed up my companies bills then took 2 months to fix it. Probably got transferred through half the company.

I have a question and its just out of curiosity because I like my new phone, but if I wanted to get a new phone on at&t can I just buy one like a Nexus or Moto X and swap the sim? I did a two year contract and got the phones for free. So I'm not sure how that works.
