They should've never killed her off. Ned doesn't have much in the way of anything that defines him anymore. I mean they've really toned down his ultra religiousness and every so often they flirt around with the idea of Ned and Marge getting into a tryst which is a bit strange to say the least.

Re: Is it time for 'The Simpsons' to 'g'oh'?
The Ned-Marge sexual tension was established early in the series, going back to the most obvious example, which was "A Streetcar Named Marge". But even before then, her admiration/respect for Ned combined with Homer's hate for him (and their opposite nature, Homer vs. Marge as well as Homer vs. Ned) made it an easy thing to see happening at some point in the future. The recent episodes where they had that same tension just reminded me of the old episodes...Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

As far as me, I stopped watching years ago. I do have the first 9 seasons on DVD though. Classics right there.Comment

We always look forward to a new episode. Granted, it may just be the time hangin out with the kids watchin/laughin at the simpsons that makes it great to us.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. It's ok now...it's better than family guy. Every once and a while the plots are funny...otherwise it is just a bunch of cheap jokes..like Family Guy..but usually better because it actually has to do with the plot -_-. But the best shows on TV right now are 30 Rock and It's Always Sunny...and The League is getting there I think.Comment

I admit the recent episode with Homer being Carl's lackey and Ned/Marge nearly having an affair was well done.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Very sad news
Just watch and see it'll be replaced by Seth McFarlane's Flintstones reboot and Sundays might as well be called Sethday.

I haven't watched it for a lot of years, because it's not close to being what it once was, but it would be weird if it wasn't on TV anymore.
That sentence could also describe my sentiments towards Saturday Night Live, as well.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: Is it time for 'The Simpsons' to 'g'oh'?
the simpsons voice actors have had a bloated salary for a long time. They could replace them with new ones and keep the show on the air. Its not like the characters sound exactly like the used to anyways. I think the simpsons are pretty much as funny as they ever were but its hard to get new things when you have 500 or so episodes. They would be better served aging the characters a bit it could open up lots of untapped story lines.Comment

At this point I just watch The Simpsons to pass time until The Macfarlane Hour (and a half) starts...

Re: Is it time for 'The Simpsons' to 'g'oh'?
And it's not like the Simpsons totally suck like it did a few years ago. The writing while not even coming close to the Classic Years has at least been mildly entertaining. To be honest with you, if we're looking at quality content right now i'd say the Simpsons right now is more consistent than Family Guy which has been getting a high clunker to quality ratio in the last couple seasons which has to be quite disturbing to some fans.

Re: Is it time for 'The Simpsons' to 'g'oh'?
Sad news. While I agree that the Simpsons hasn't been as great as it once was, I still thoroughly enjoy watching it every Sunday night. It's still leaps and bounds better than The Cleveland Show and just about anything else that Fox will commission to fill its spot. It's a shame that it was so popular and financially successful for so many years that it basically has been held hostage by high voice actor costs.NFL: Green Bay Packers
