i just wanted to make sure you weren't confused by that coax part. i know when i wasn't very familiar with the receivers and someone said coax i thought they just meant like, tv cable, and that's not the case at all. in fact coax for audio looks pretty much like rca-type cables.
I forget where I read it, but I remember reading that the yellow cable from standard rca cables can be used as a digital coax.

I could be wrong but I don't believe you want to use RCA cables for digital coax. Does anyone know? I read about it briefly when I was using digital coax and just said to heck with it and went and bought a specific digital coax cable @ radio shack for like $10.

Will RCA cables work? Yeah. How well and for how long? Still up for debate. I've read that you will probably see some signal loss at some point--digital coax cable has higher impedance requirement than RCA cables. Considering that digital coax cables are about $5 online...why not do it right the first time?

yeah that's kind of how i looked at it, that's why i went with a cable specifically for digital coax.

I think this is how it will be setup when I get home.

While I agree completely, if I had everything I needed sitting at home except that coax, I would be willing to use a yellow rca cable while waiting for my coax to arrive in the mail. I'm also super impatient about new tech toys though.

Got everything hooked up, sounds good, but I need to figure out how to adjust the speakers to make it sound even better but so far I enjoy it a hell of a lot more than just tv speakers.

Congrats. Did you use the mic to do the auto-calibration? It does a pretty good job.

There wasn't one in my box.. will just any mic work? I'll have to find one somewhere.

If you bought the 3200 it doesn't support a mic. There are just pre-sets to use.

At least thats what I got from some of the earlier post.

I just re-read the manual. The receiver handles all that, so no mic is needed.
                          Per Onkyo:
The HT-S3200 has three Audyssey technologies to help create the most suitable listening environment for your home. The first is Audyssey 2EQ™ for Room Acoustic Correction. The HT-S3200 uses Audyssey 2EQ to counter distortion created by walls, furniture, and other objects. This technology detects speaker distance, and then sets levels, delays, and crossovers, while also measuring room acoustics. Compared to one-position room correction systems, Audyssey 2EQ covers a much wider listening area. Moreover, it corrects problems in both frequency response and time domain (where most of the problems lie) across the entire listening area. The results are immediately obvious--a clear, well-balanced, and natural sound.

The second is Audyssey Dynamic Volume™ control. This technology allows you to set the volume level that you want and keep it there, without having to constantly adjust it. By anticipating sudden spikes and dips in the audio soundtrack and compensating for them in real time, Audyssey Dynamic Volume ensures consistent volume levels, regardless of the content you're enjoying. Thanks to Audyssey Dynamic Volume, quiet dialogue is easier to pick up, loud passages retain their impact, and commercials are less intrusive.

The third is Audyssey Dynamic EQ™ for Loudness Correction. In professional sound studios, music and movies are recorded at reference levels far louder than what is typical for home listening. As a result, when you play audio content at a low volume on a standard home theater receiver, the bass disappears, voices change in timbre, and the surround soundstage loses definition. To counteract this audio deterioration, Audyssey Dynamic EQ continuously adjusts frequency response and the surround soundstage loses definition. To counteract this audio deterioration, Audyssey Dynamic EQ continuously adjusts frequency response and surround levels to produce the ideal balance for a given volume level.

Even with a budget of $100 I would not recommend that system.

You'd be better off with a RCA system from Walmart:
