Yeah, I wasn't thinking about what Sheen did in the past when I posted that, lol. My point is though, no one is praising Charlie for that, hell as far as I know no one is praising him at all unless they're really that dumb. IMO it's a case of people laughing at him and not with him, but I could be wrong.

And neither of these was as publicized as Chris Brown's incident, and neither involved a figure as popular as Rihanna on the other end of things.
That's why it isn't brought up so much.
It's not a double standard. Nobody's purposefully overlooking Sheen's prior incidents. It's just that they aren't as public.Comment

People aren't letting go and forgetting what happened with CB and Rihanna.
People don't care/don't bring up what Sheen (accidentally did or not) did to his girlfriend. And it goes beyond abusing girlfriends.
Entertaining ?This **** blows my mind. Dude has a family, yet is ****ing three different porn stars, had one of them put a restraining order out on him because he threatened violence (but that's ok, because he didn't actual follow through from what we know, right ?)
He is a coke addict, ****ing any 20 year old that walks, after all the **** he's done in the past with his 17 other ex-wifes/girlfriends, but that's 'entertainment', so let's reward him. Dude gets like a million a year for tweeting endorsements for products.
Yet, you don't see CB's point when he says people like Sheen are getting 'praised'. Sheen can live how he wants to live. Simple as that. Personally I'm more of a monogamous/practical/"straight edge" kind of guy, but that doesn't make it okay for me to diss his lifestyle.
He supports his kids, so that's not an issue. If he wasn't paying child support I might agree with you on that point, but he has and he does.
Again, Sheen's issues with domestic violence are not nearly as public. Why? Because he didn't beat the **** out of Rihanna! How can't you understand that? Plus, there isn't a ton of evidence for his domestic violence cases, unlike the highly-publicized pictures of Rihanna post-beating.
The reason why Chris Brown isn't making as much money now? Hello! His musical style is getting old. Charlie Sheen is famous because he was on one of the most popular shows in America. Does Chris Brown garner that kind of attention? No. That's why he's not pulling in the dough like Sheen.
