    Re: The Charlie Sheen Watch

I know it's always been a crass show with a lot of sophomoric humor, but last night's Two And a Half Men episode was the best of the season.

      Re: The Charlie Sheen Watch

So in the latest issue of Rolling Stone Charlie admits he wasn't "winning":

"Clearly, a guy gets fired, his relationships are in the toilet, he's off on some [expletive] tour, there's nothing 'winning' about any of that. I mean, how does a guy who's obviously quicksanded, how does he consider any of it a victory? I was in total denial."

Refreshing humility from Charlie even as he gets kicked out of the Stanley Cup finals Wednesday as he tries to reenter after leaving to smoke a cigarette.

Sounds bad? Well, some refreshing maturity from Charlie:

"That lady was so frickin' rude to me and she spoke to me like a child," Sheen said Thursday. "And I should have just said, 'Hey, man. Have a nice day.' And walked away."

"I've got to either not go to a place like that where I'm going to be a victim to my own short fuse or just go knowing that, hey, if there's things that get in the way of what I see as a perfect night, just let it flow. Stop being a baby."

      Other Charlies notes:

      1. He doesn't do drugs anymore, but does drink (voda straight, no ice).
      2. Friends of clean and sober Russel Brand are worried about his relationship with Sheen. The two became quick friends after being aligned by their involvement at FX.
      3. Charlie's upcoming Anger Management tv show starts with a ten episode order. If it hits a certain ratings level that order balloons to 100.

I become more and more desensitized by this kind of stuff. Entertainers like this get attention and a following for the flat out outrageous stuff they do brought on by the irresponsible choices that they make. Then, if they don't kill themselves accidentally or intentionally (for which a good portion of the public laments on how much of a waste of talent this person's life was), they gain a new pocket of attention for the turn around a la press releases, the talk show circuit, etc.

I just think it is profoundly stupid the level of investment people have in these types of repetitive circumstances.

I doubt he did all of that just for some attention, maybe after awhile after the initial craziness but it looked like he legitly was going crazy. After watching something on his whole career/life the other day I believe he was just beyond messed up at that time of his life and at other points in his life.

I hope he turns around, I enjoy his acting.

And yet your curiosity was piqued enough to look into The Charlie Sheen Watch.

And don't tell me you thought he was dead.

I think he just wanted to let us know how above it all he is, that's all.

I know The Charlie Sheen Watch thread has been bumpy at times, but.....

Apparently on the Today Show tomorrow morning he will announce that he is HIV positive.

Worthy bump but I swear when I saw the news on my Facebook feed I just said to myself "Of COURSE he'd be HIV Positive." No one wishes ill on others but this was predictable to the extreme.

Yeah, when I put it up my first instinct was to delete the post, but I didn't.

SIDENOTE: I had forgotten that I created this thread. One of the mods had change my original thread name to "The Charlie Sheen Watch".

                        Anyway, I wish Charlie well.

I guess he is the one that the leaks have been about. He supposedly has known for a few years, but didn't change anything and put a lot of other people at risk.

That could explain his self destructive behavior, your give a **** kinda gives out if you don't take that news well.

Charlie was my favorite actor as a kid and I've always had a bit of a soft spot in my heart for him...... but this is some straight up bull **** right here. To knowingly put others at risk is just the lowest of the low. It makes me sick honestly.
