        They sure aren't.

I bet Ron Burgundy knows where they're from though.

I just got tickets for the lady and myself to see him at the Berklee Performance Center here in Boston. Not cheap, but not astronomical either. $275 for 2.

              Soundgarden - Live at I-5

              Releases March 22.

              This from Soundgarden's website:
Soundgarden Live on I-5 CD Preorder.
Presale orders will ship on or before release date 3/22/11.

ITEMS ORDERED WITH PRESALE ITEMS WILL ALL SHIP TOGETHER. CREDIT CARDS WILL BE CHARGED AT TIME OF PURCHASE.
Live from I5 - a reference to the Interstate 5 which runs up and down the West Coast- the new collection compiles live tracks from a 1996 run by the band and captures the band at the height of their recording and touring career. This carefully selected compilation includes fan favorites like "Spoonman", "Rusty Cage","Burden In My Hand," and "Black Hole Sun"(performed by Chris Cornell solo), as well what insiders are calling the definitive live performance of "Jesus Christ Pose." As a bonus, the disc includes two brilliantly inspired covers: The Beatles "Helter Skelter" and The Stooges anarchic proto-punk classic, "Search & Destroy." Soundgarden took out recording engineer, Adam Kasper with them on the West Coast leg of this tour- the first time they ever recorded any live shows. They rented a mobile 24 track machine/truck and recorded the gigs on 2" tape. Soundgarden had always intended to release it as a live record soon after the tour, but alas, they disbanded and the tapes were left in the closet of Studio X in Seattle, until now.

                Re: Soundgarden has reunited!

I was able to get a hold of King Animal yesterday and so far I really like it. It feels that familiar but enough differences from previous Soundgarden albums, that makes it really good. You can really tell that Kim, Ben, and Matt were a huge missing component from Chris's music since they broke up. Not that Cornell's solo music was bad, but these guys just really gel together very well.

Check it out if you can. I hope they do stick around this time because 15 years of no Soundgarden really sucked.

It starts off great, then kind of stumbles through the middle part of the disc. Thankfully though it finishes strong. Overall I give it a 3.5 out of 5. I just hope it isn't a one shot deal for these guys because it's obvious they still have it.

That was my impression as well. Some of the slower songs felt like recent pop rejects from Chris Cornell's solo music

I really like BCC's 3rd CD a lot, even better than the first one. This one even has a more classic rock feel to it.

That's 3 CD in about 2 yrs, they are pumping them out.
