Funniest thing about her audition is when she said she used to be on Barney, NPH was like "I knew I recognized you from somewhere." So what, he used to watch Barney when he was like, 20?

I took that as a joke more than anything else. I mean, it's Neil Patrick Harris!

Too bad though, I was hoping to actually see a Barney audition on the show.

NPH probably did watch Barney when he hit the bong.

Watched Tuesday and Wednesday last night.
I hated Avril Livighn. Looked stupid with the hood on and pissed me off when she didn't want to send a good singer through cause he had a family.

So, watching Denver now (only halfway through).

Randy is getting too soft. When it's been two yeses against one no (Simon being the no), Randy always gives that last yes, at those times they definitely don't deserve it. I think part of it has to do with the extra judge. When it was just Simon, Paula, and Randy he was a little truer to his word and he would weigh his opinion appropriately. Cara (as much as I like her) and guest judges always pair up and comment on people's looks instead of their voices, and Posh Spice is in again tonight so you know what that means.

No wonder Simon is leaving, his voice doesn't mean much anymore these days which is unfortunate.

I seriously doubt that is why he is leaving and I think you are looking too much into it.

The opening sessions have always been this way, it is purely for entertainment, and it has always been pretty clear from the start which singers will be moving on and which one's won't be.

I doubt any "animosity" caused in these auditions is what made Simon to want to leave...

Oh, I know. I was just saying that he's probably not having too much fun sitting by and letting these girls take over his show in front of him.

He's leaving because he has another show with more opportunity, and I completely understand that.

Considering the original 'X Factor' was created to replace 'Pop Idol', I'd say he's got plenty of opportunity.

When Simon leaves I may watch AI a time or two out of curiousity factor but more than likely I will simply watch Simons new show and quit watching Idol. Anyone else feel the same way? I just don't think it will be any good without Simon. Unless maybe they got House as the replacement judge, LOL

Whoa, that would be bad-***! I mean, he is a musician after all.

I wonder if they're considering him. I don't think he's filming during this time, so maybe it's possible. He would become the richest guy in Hollywood lol.

You know i've not read anywhere that they are considering him but I think he would be the perfect guy to do it, so long as he even somewhat resembles how Gregory House acts on the show (I've heard the actor who plays House is significantly nicer than the character heh)...but yeah that would keep me watching!!

Hugh Laurie is a magnificent person in real life, and it always saddens me when he doesn't win anything during awards shows. I'm surprised I never thought of him, but he would be a perfect candidate for AI.

What I don't understand is how that's going to work. XFactor is essentially the same exact thing as American Idol with a different name. The only thing different that I know if is that I think the age limit was higher, at least it was in the British version of it.
