I know some people claim that... I was on a flight to Vancouver for 6+ hours and watching videos for about 4 of those hours... and only dropped ~35%.

Even while jailbroken... I didn't see any noticeable change. What did you install? I did it simply for sbsettings at the time.

Guys, if you haven't jailbroken your iPad, you should. Circuitous and backgrounder enables slick multitasking that should hold you over until the fall.

Yeah, I've decided I want one eventually, but waiting for the 2nd gen I think...

Be nice to have to do stuff around the house with, go on the patio (especially when they update the sling player on it, then I can watch tv on wifi anywhere)

I personally just refuse to by a 1st gen Apple product, I got burned big time by the iPod Touch. They released a much better 2nd one with more features and all that (stuff that should have been in originally)

The only thing the iPad is going to feel like it is missing once the iPhone 4 comes out is a video camera. Aside from that, I really don't have any complaints at all. I can see the multi-tasking gripe if someone doesn't want to jailbreak their device at this point.

The speed at which you can get on a webpage or look up something on Google Maps is incredible. I find myself using my iPhone less and less when the iPad is around so I don't have to squint at the small screen.

Yeah that makes sense. It's a hack that allows backgrounding similar to other OSes... battery life will def. take a hit once you start using it.

It's persistent so it's always using juice.

Well the hackers did it and found a way to add Flash to the Ipad. Its doesnt work on videos yet but I'm hoping it will work eventually. I played around with it last night and it works well.

LOL...I'm apple's bitch. I was in LA at this mall called the Grove and my Ipad started calling to me. All jokes aside, its a good purchase because i travel so much now. I dont have to lug around my laptop anymore and i dont have to squint and watch movies on my iphone anymore. With that said, its still an oversized iphone.
