I just spend the early afternoon prepping a few presentations using the VGA out cable.

You can watch videos seamlessly on a projector and presentations work quite well. Two downsides:

1) The app must support VGA out. Right now, Keynote was the only one that did this (well, so did the Videos app but that goes without saying...).

2) You can't see your presentation on both the device AND the projector.

Second might be a big turnoff for some. Seems like the hardware wouldn't be able to handle it.

Presentations and videos look incredible though. I was actually impressed.

What are the top apps to get for the iPad in you guys opinions?

iBooks is definitely great. Period.

I like the iworks for business/school. (pages, numbers, & keynote)

Also, what games really show off the screen?

What is the better racing game in your opinion?

What world do you live in?

I have realracing HD and it's fantastic! I'd recommend Lets Golf if you like Hot Shots Golf on PS3 as it's just like it. And Dungeon is like Diablo and looks great too. Grab the free USA today app. Get the ABC player also. Others I'd recommend are TWC max for weather and Zinio magazine reader.

I think they have apps for that stuff, but I've not seen those specifically. I know last night in the apps store I saw AIM though for sure.

I take it that on Facebook the chat function must be flash powered because I don't see that option available when I'm on my iPad.

Yes, through an app. IM+ and Beejive are two good ones. Skype has an official app that works well with the built in mic.

I know the AIM one was. Most of them that are going to come from the publisher, like Facebook, will be free. The others which are actual programs combining other ones (ie a service) are probably going to cost you.
