My favorite part of the episode was Jesse putting one over on his parents. Those people are just horrible and he screwed them out of almost 500k which was awesome! Starting to love the Saul character more and more.

Re: Breaking Bad Season 3- Debuts March 21st
Yeah, those guys appear to work for (or at least listen to) Gus, whose reach seems WAY beyond what I initially thought.
Also, here's clarification on the ritual from the first episode -- it was a procession/offering as a part of the Santa Muerte rituals: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santa_Muerte
Are his parents really that bad? Jesse has been a loser all his life and can't really be trusted.Last edited by JayBee74; 03-29-2010, 12:27 PM.Comment

Re: Breaking Bad Season 3- Debuts March 21st
They were asking for help in eliminating Walt, I assume. Family retribution or whatever for Tuco. People make offerings to Santa Muerte in some cases to wish harm on others or to
As far as the Gus/Mexico connection, here are my thoughts:Spoilerit appears that Gus is more powerful than I thought and was actually Tuco's boss/supply chain. I say this because he called off "the Twins", who are the enforcement wing of the Mexican cartel. They were there to kill Walt on their own terms for their own reasons due to Tuco's death, but the "Cleaner" say them entering Walt's house and called Gus to tell him to call them of due to the whole Walt/Skylar situation and waiting for that to play out. Walt and Jesse were working for Gus the whole time... and when they "escaped" Tuco to him, they were just going to a much more powerful criminal with more dangerous connections. This has huge implications, as Gus now knows that Walt has a brother-in-law in the DEA (from their visit late in Season 2), knows that he essentially killed off one of his high-ranking people in Tuco, is having marital problems, and probably knows about Jesse's addiction situation as well. Methinks Gus is gonna **** some **** up majorly if Walt doesn't go back to cooking ASAP.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Re: Breaking Bad Season 3- Debuts March 21st
I don't think they were aware that he has been clean for 45 days, as the shot of that coin (or whatever it was) he has was in his car. They didn't discuss it either, although his dad did tell him that he looks better /healthy. I don't see much wrong with the way his parents are treating him, the dude had a meth lab in their basement and I'm sure he dicked his parents around long before that anyways. It's hard to say who is in the wrong though, because his dad should have been more supportive upon his son's return, and Jessie...well, he should have quit drugs long before dealing with Walter.Comment

Re: Breaking Bad Season 3- Debuts March 21st
He's my take on the whole Gus thing:
SpoilerMaybe the twins aren't working for Gus. Maybe the twins are soldiers in Gus's opponents (someone we haven't met yet) crew. So maybe when Gus found out that the twins were going to whack Walt, he let his enemy know that if they killed Walt, they'd have a war on their hands or something. Maybe the other crew didn't know he worked for Gus and just thought he was freelancing. Although, I'm not sure where Tuco's father or uncle comes into play there. Just my two cents.Comment

Re: Breaking Bad Season 3- Debuts March 21st
SpoilerThat makes sense except that it's unlikely that he'd send the message "Pollos" (the normal "come meet me immediately" message) to an enemy crew. Seems much more likely that he's higher up the chain than the cartel enforcers who had a separate vendetta against Walt in retribution for Tuco.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

A few of my high school friends got into cocaine pretty bad and as a friend there was only so much bull**** I could put up with before I just stopped talking to them about a year ago. I can't imagine how much nonsense their families would have to put up with.Comment

Re: Breaking Bad Season 3- Debuts March 21st
SpoilerI read that they rigged up some elaborate device to ensure that the pizza would end up on the roof, but they decided to try one take without the rig, and Bryan Cranston got the pizza on the roof in the first take. Well done!Last edited by 55; 04-01-2010, 01:51 AM.Comment

SpoilerShe did it out of anger. Walt made money cooking meth and now forces his way back into the house.
I have a feeling we will see just how much of a bad-a$$ Gus really is.Comment
