Re: Breaking Bad Season 3- Debuts March 21st

edit: **this post is a resonse to jaybee asking if I think the show will end and not have a 4th season**

I don't think it should unless they write things that blow me away and i don't expect.

As I said before I'd rather they do it the right way and go out with a bang. If they drag it on too long they will ruin it and drain the show of all it's "real-worldness" it will just cease to be somewhat believable in a way.

I still think that Walt may martyr himself in a way either deliberate or with cancer or whatever. I think the show may end when his contract is up.

The major loose end is - will Walt get caught. His family life is ruined. Other than that, we have hank's recovery (but will be out of the picture for a while to recover) and we are learning more about Gus and the cartel. We should also find out if Hank finds out the truth and what his does/does not do about it.

The premise of the show was that Walt needed money for his immediate circumstances, but also realized he needed a lot more to provide for his family beyond the grave. Once this contract is up, those goals are fulfilled.

I'm not really trying that hard, but I don't really see too many ways for the show to go at this point and don't want it to be twisted into something lame. I will say, however, that I had a similar feeling about dexter and yet really enjoyed the 4th season.

So far thought it's been fantastic.

This week was slightly better, but I know they are setting up for something epic.

The scene with Jessie, Skinny Pete and Badger at the NA meeting was priceless!

          Triple post!

I almost forgot to add this. Apparently Breaking Bad has been canceled by AMC but is moving to ABC effective immediately. Here is a sample scene:

Okay, now if that wasn't a filler episode then I don't know what is. I mean, I appreciate what they were trying to do with the whole "two man show" concept, but for a one hour program it just doesn't work regardless of how great those two actors are. Also, literally nothing happened in terms of story advancement either. All in all, I'd say it was easily the worst episode of the entire series thus far. I like the fact that they had the guts to try something different and all, but different doesn't always mean better.

filler in some regards but it had some chracter developments.. does walter tell jesse what happened? is walter sick in the head... has the cancer spread?

The past few episodes have been all around, quick paced action. i think this direction was a decent surprise as I watched.

The suspense was there on my viewing end at certain parts of the show

great performances by Cranston and Paul, but frankly boring by Breaking Bad standards.

I liked the episode, but it served to grind the season's momentum to a halt, basically. An odd choice in timing at the least, but devoting a whole episode to it when there's only 3 left for the season or whatever seemed especially strange.

I enjoyed the character interactions and Walt's Soma-tastic speech was one of those Emmy moments for him again. I love the humor in the show, so the "that was a raisin" line and stuff like that had me giggling. But yeah, to not see Hank or (especially) Skylar this episode after the last one was kind of disappointing. But I guess that just means the next 3 episodes will be loaded with crazy bull****.

I just watched the episode and it was easily the worst in the series and one of the worst episodes of any television I've seen.

I thought they were going the route that Jesse alluded to with Mr. White "sampling the product."

I actually really liked the episode but I can see where people would have issue with it. It was more of a character study episode of the difference in the two leads IMO. It also showed how Jesse and Walt have a lot of issues with each other but also care for one another as well, even though they seem to want to make it a point that they don't.

This one was my least favorite of the entire series. Walter was just annoying. I thought his actions were out of character. If the lab was wired maybe he should be worried about being perceived as erratic. I paused it several times to watch some Stevie Nicks music videos.

                                That's how I felt.

I figured there'd be an explanation like Walter was on the drug or actually saying his cancer is spreading to his brain. However, it's not like they've slowly built up his character going insane. He has the zoning out periods (which I believe started in the first episode), but this time he just went from zoning to crazy and back.
