I just saw a link to Borders.com where you can preorder A Dance With Dragons for 50% off, and it goes to 60% if you have Borders rewards. Pretty good deal.Lux y VeritasComment

re: Game of Thrones (HBO Sunday nights @ 10PM EST)
The book is fantastic thus far. Still very early in it, but the deeper I get into it, the more pages I read a day.
I haven't been giving myself any time to read. Been bouncing around three books, giving each some time, and finding myself being really stubborn about where I read. The evening train ride is absolutely horrid with the congestion, the people talking into your ear. I just can't read during that time. So, it's only been in the morning train ride which is rather quick.
Anyway, I'm now wanting to go home after work and read before heading to bed. It's like a good television series that you can't wait till next week to watch, but instead you have the entire first season on DVD!
The show always looked interesting. Now I'm extremely excited for April."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. re: Game of Thrones (HBO Sunday nights @ 10PM EST)
Just watched the videos, good stuff. For those who haven't read the book and want to be spoiler-free for the show I would suggest not watching those videos. No major spoilers are revealed but there are some spoilers. The best part of reading the book was seeing how each the characters developed and how their stories unfolded. Some of that may be lost if you watch those videos. The motherload of character profiles!

Another thing, is I still can't believe how well they casted this show. Watching those videos it feels like they nailed every casting choice.Lux y VeritasComment

That has to be my favorite trailer so far.
I'm near the end of A Storm of Swords. The two craziest chapters just happened.
