Yeah, great family connections and a good combo of comedy and drama-bottom-line it has a lot of heart. The shower stuff was a bit overdone though.

I really like this show. It reminds me of a cross between Gilmore Girls and Modern Family.

Maybe I was a little taken aback with grandads and uncles getting involved with a 14 year old's masturbation issues.

How often does a very successful female pair up with a Mr Mom? This guy appears very content with his role, while many would find it emasculating. Last episode he seems to be having a blast playing "tea time" with his daughter, while an invite to grandpa gets a quick dismissal. It will be interesting to see if they explore his insecurities about his role, but they seem to be going in another direction (hot girl, jealous wife) at the moment. Bottom line, I'd like to see this guy get a more interesting storyline, even banging the hot flower power girl, because he's the most boring of all the characters.

I am not so sure that they want him to be all that interesting. The storyline is the lawyers insecurity over her role as a parent. Despite being so successful, she still feels inadequate as a parent.

I have to admit your take is more accurate. Her mom insecurities really surfaced this last episode when she gets praise from Crosby after she helps his son get his finger out of the soda can.
I couldn't figure out where I saw Crosby-it was in the When In Rome Trailer. I then learned he is engaged to the star of that movie Kristen Bell.

He was also a star in the first season of Punk'd with Ashton Kutcher.

Heard of this show and ignored it. Didn't even care to find out what it was about or anything, but reading through this thread makes me interested.

I'm one of the few guys that thought Gilmore Girls was very good television and if it's being compared to that show by Cebby then I might have to give it a look.

I thought this show was just okay for the first 2 ep's, but it's really pulled me in. Good show.

Started watching this because there wasn't anything else on at the time. I thought it wouldn't be good, but it has turned out to be great.

I thought they were trying to avoid the age difference between the younger Ritter (Amber's English teacher) and Sarah with facial hair, but it will be an issue as will Amber's crush on Mr Cyr . Ritter's actual age is 30, but the Driver's License DOB (1983) has his character at 27. Lauren Graham (Sarah) is actually 43 but her character is 38.

Jabbar is a good name-Magic might have been too much. I like the kid, and his mom is obviously hot. I wonder if a triangle will develop?
