Agreed. I found them better than the movie.

Definitely. I mean its basically the movie times 6. So much time to develop characters and the ongoing theme and jokes.

Plus there are some other subplots not in the movie (Lisa Miller, Nega Scott , Scott and Envy) that are pretty great.

Re: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World

I just saw this movie yesterday and knew nothing about the comic but I live in Toronto (is the comic based in Toronto too because with all the movies made in Toronto there are so few that actually take place in Toronto, it's usually disguised to look like NY or Chicago) and grew up playing 80's video games and this movie was simply phenomanal and the best movie of the year for me and I loved Kickass but this was better and funnier.

Like many others I had no desire to see it in theaters and really no desire to rent it either but there was nothing to choose so I thought what the hell. I've never been so pleasantly suprised with a movie. I love the way they seamlessly mixed current technology with 80's technology. The writing was just simply fantastic and I can't remember the last movie that had such witty humour and the pacing was perfect.

I'm flabbergasted the word of mouth didn't give this a much better box office run. Even if you're young and have no idea about the old video games and have no idea about the comic, as long as you like action and have any sense of humour then you'll absolutely love this movie. I'm sick of Michael Cera but even he was immensely enjoyable in this.

This has to be nominated for a best picture Oscar and should be a frontrunner if I had my way. It is really that good. You are doing yourself a disservice if you don't see it especially with all the other crap that is out there.

You guys are really hyping up this movie. I thought it looked like trash when I saw the previews. Maybe I'll give it a shot.

So i FINALLY got to watch this after not one single theater IN THE ENTIRE COUNTY played this during its run. So i was forced to wait for the Blu....and it was as awesome as i knew it would be (plus i liked the GN's anyway)

my only issue was the fact that they didn't have a potentially hilarious part with Knives pops."OH MY GOD ITS YOUR DAD!"

Also, am i the only one that though the Sex Bob-omb songs sound like the Eagles of Death Metal (and the Desert sessions, QOTSA stuff in general)?

They sound more like an alt. 90s pop band.

If this movie isn't awarded an Oscar for special effects and editing, then I don't know WTF is up.

Also, I think the fighting effects would be awesome if used correctly (ie: subtly) in some kung fu movies.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)
