Its not that it is horrible, and certainly doesnt ruin the song, I just would prefer to listen to ems verse. Wayne was passable, but em killed it on that track

And I don't skip the whole song, just to the 2 or 2:30 mark

I hear what you saying Vast his flow is a lot different on this album and I think a lot of what makes it so different is on Recovery he's really stressing punchlines, metaphors, etc.

Whereas on Relapse he wasn't really trying to do that he was just letting loose a stream of thoughts in rhyme form.

To compare we can look at the last verse on Buffalo Bill from the Relapse refill:

      Spoiler

Vs his 2nd verse on Cold Wind Blows

      Spoiler

Its truly amazing how he can switch from each style and do it so gracefully. The metaphors and punchlines are absolutely crazy on Cold Wind Blows but the complexity and breath control he displays on Buffalo Bill is just as amazing.

Not many rappers can rip up tracks quite like he can whether its a constant stream of thought or punchlines, the guy can flat out deliver. As of right now though I'm happy he went back to the raw rapping style b/c honestly he has never put out an album quite like this one.

That style of rap is what people want to hear now a days Slim Shady just isn't what people want to hear anymore. He's been doing it on every album so a lot of people want him to get back to his roots like on Infinite.

Lol! I'm now calling recovery Em's Illmatic b/c its an MC's album. No annoying voice, no "Hi my name is.." just hardcore rhymes.

You didn't really like this song. Personally, it's my favorite on the album. This album really is much better than Relapse. Relapse had about 3 tracks I liked, and this is one I can almost listen to the whole CD.
I will always, always be a Jets fan. But trust me it hurts.

I'm really liking Talkin' 2 Myself... that guitar riff in the background is sick.

That song actually grew on me (though it's still not near being one of my favorites). I underrated some of the songs, overrated others, while some stayed the same. I guess that's what happens when u try to judge an album after one day...LOL

after a few days of listening, my favorite track on the album is track 3 "On fire"

The way he spits on that track is the Em i love. He got the offbeat flow going and he's not screaming like he is on pretty much the whole album.

He does too much screaming on this album imo.

I usually can't stand Lil Wayne but that track he does with Em is fast becoming one of my favorites on the album.

I pretty much like every song except the Pink one.

Re: Dear Eminem, Please oh please...

The only songs I'm not really feeling after a week of solid, non-stop listening are Cinderella Man and W.T.P. But even then those songs aren't that bad.

I think come June 21st (it got bumped up a day BTW), I'm gonna buy this. It'll be the first CD I've bought in a long time but I guess you could say I want to show my appreciation.

Nowadays it's rare to see classic albums and while I'm sure there will be people that won't agree with me, I think this is a classic album. I mean, I've barely even listened to anything else since the album first leaked aside from a couple Big Boi tracks off SLLF. That's how much I'm loving Recovery.

I genuinely liked Lil Wayne's verse on No Love. It's slow, but that's not a bad thing. I typically don't enjoy listening to him, but he came correct.

Of course, Eminem then proceeds to slaughter it, but that's ok!

Still loving this album. I'm sure I've gone through each song close to 150 times already.
