Something tells me that a movie aimed at children is not going to get rid of childish comedy.

Actually, that's partly the problem... the comedy is childish yes, but it's not very appropriate at the same time. You know what I'm talking about if you've seen TF2, and it's a strange mix of a kind of movie that you'd expect that you could take a ten year old to see, but you realize that while it may be that kind of humor in context, the content itself is pretty mature.

And you've identified the major issue with Transformers.

They're attempting to appeal to the 20s-30s demographic who remembers the show from their childhood while at the same time trying to appeal to the kids who Transformers actually appeals to.

The major difference between the two age groups is that our age group will see it regardless of the quality and content. The pre-teen age group wouldn't be allowed to see it if it contained objectionable content to middle America parents.

Yeah 99% of the girls I date, don't wear make up past lipstick and they are all perfect. So again, she's not that bad.

I have around 11 to 13 women at my job, in natural stage everyday and they make Megan Fox look like the average Joann.....so yeah.....

You have 11-13 woman at your job who are hotter then Megan Fox?

In the 2 Megan Fox pictures I've seen in this thread she didn't look bad at all, OS is very very picky when it comes to woman I've noticed. Megan Fox is gorgeous. And I have a hard time believing one has 11-13 woman at their job alone that looks better then her, but we all have our opinions.

It's not that much of a stretch. There are a LOT of women out there better looking than Fox. She's just placed on a pedestal just like every other chick that's remotely famous. There's no doubt I could point out several women that I work with (given, I work at a VERY large place) that are better looking than her.

With that said, I still think she's hot. She's just not near as hot as some people make her out to be.

It's not always a bad thing to be based on a toyline though.

I submit to you BraveStarr. This was a pretty brilliant cartoon for its time and had quite an imaginative concept (The Western genre set in space) which was more deep then your typical kids cartoon. I suggest you try to find it online somewhere because it was quite the show. The lead character even had links to native american culture and Native shamanism.

Of course, what doomed it from being remembered is that the show was out LONG before the toys came out and thus the show was doomed to a short run for such a series.

So not every toyline based show is "crap".

I have no idea what that show is so I'll take your word for it on the quality. The Transformers show was pretty stupid though and the movie storylines have followed suit, but they are entertaining enough to make a whole bunch of money. People keep looking at things from their nostalgia-tinted point of view and don't realize that the cartoons weren't very good to begin with.

Attractiveness isn't a standard for all people but I find it hard to follow the amount of folks on this site who are consistant in their claims that "MUCH" hotter women can be found at their city/workplace/street. We're talking about women , like Megan Fox and various other maligned women, who make a living from their physical attractiveness on a national/global scale. Women who the entertainment industry invests millions of dollars on their drawing power...but yet according to a subset of OS posters wouldn't finish first in a beauty pagent held in their workplace.

Does this not strike anyone else as just implausiable?

Are we lead to believe that these unidentified beauties have forgone stardom in favor of deskjobs despite easily be amoung the most beautiful women in the world?

I think what's happening is the proximity to these women make them more attractive to the OS subset. They get to stand out as above average in an average situation while the maligned stars are being judged agianst IDEAL factors agianst a higher level of beauty displayed in entertainment media.

It's why these claims are never supported by work pictures/cell phone shots of these local godesses. They don't as a whole stack up when judged by the masses as say a younger Megan Fox did when leaning over a car engine in Transformers 1.

I'd say there is plenty of truth there. However, there a plenty of "hot" women that have absolutely no desire to be an actress/starlet or can't act. Some of them end up being pro cheerleaders, beauty pageant contestants and holding down regular jobs.

Without all the makeup and post-production work a lot of hollywood's elite would appear to be plain janes.

Yes, that shot of her leaning over the car engine was freaking amazing. And, by and large, she was amazing on Transformers 1. However, in real life, I find her much less attractive. It's hard for me to find a woman who has tattoos all over her body sexy, especially that stupid Marlyn Monroe tattoo on her forearm.

IMO, there are hotter women in Hollywood.
