    Re: The Hangover 2 confirmed!

I saw this Saturday morning. I really liked it. Great way to start off the summer movie season. I laughed a lot and that's is all you can really ask for from a comedy. Thought they did a great job with keeping the characters authentic. Found Stu's song funny just like the song in the first one.

It's funny to think that if they want to make a 3rd it would have to be Alan's bachelor party.

And there really, REALLY shouldn't be a third film to this, but considering it's likely to be the biggest grossing movie of the summer, I fully expect the studio to ignore me. I mean, why not? I'll watch a third film.
Sorry, I left out the fact that he said the four of them feel the same way. I'm sure he means the three main characters and Phillips.

      The actual quote is:

"I'll do a third no matter what." "We've all talked about it, Ed, Zach, and I, and Todd, and it's about us coming together and agreeing on a concept. And we've all agreed to the tone of the third movie-which is completely not adhering to the formula of the second."

LOL. Really? Who the hell would marry him? I'd really hope they don't make it some crazy hot megan fox type chick.

It just seems like it would be hard to pull that off with Alan or is it that just me? With the way his character is and all.

If they did do that for the 3rd one which would be likely I think they should just go on ahead and accept that they're going to black out, not remember anything and have to figure out how to fix whatever they messed up that night and not have to spend time finding their friend to get to the wedding in time because, I don't think they should have to do that for a 3rd time.

Just give them an adventure and send them on their way.

Definitely expected it to do some damage the first weekend out because, people were going going to run out to go see this based off the success of the first one.

Plus a holiday weekend, you can't lose.

I'm actually surprised at those numbers. The theater I watched it at was less than half full. It was 3 pm on a Saturday but I was still shocked at how empty it was.

Not ours. Showing on 3 screens, and both times I went it was sold out. (I bought tickets online).

Ehh wasn't a big fan of it. Seems as if they tried really hard to capture the the magic of the first one, but only caused it to be really corny n repetitive on some parts.

I did laugh, but there were so many parts that were identical to the first one, it became old n less funny quick,

Saw it today and this sums up my thoughts as well. Very good for a sequel.

I like that. I think they can now do things a bit different since we know the characters so well. Personally, I wouldn't mind a franchise of these characters. Not saying it should or could happen, but I could see these guys being placed in obvious plot A or B and making it different enough for everyone to laugh because of how they'd approach the situation.

This sums up my feelings as well. A lot of the jokes were repetitive, forced or over the top. I laughed in a few parts but wasn't even close to the first in my opinion.
