While I wasn't blown away by the first, I went to see it w/ friends. Funnier than the first to me. Fed my Asian fetish and just about killed it at the same time.

Yes exactly. And their biggest problem was the humor was the same in a lot of parts. It was the same story, different characters who the stuff happened to. I wish I hadn't seen this one honestly. Avatar was a very good movie. However, I don't think it was "amazing". Same thing goes for Inception. These movies were very well made, probably 8 or 9 out of 10 in my eyes.
I can't really pinpoint what holds them back but they seemed to both be missing something.Comment

saw the midnight showing, i liked it, you have to realize what made the first one so great is you had no idea what was going to happen, they make it clear in all the press and interviews that its pretty much the same story line, just added elements and in thailand, or as allan says thighland... its really good for a sequel, just dont go in there expecting it to top the first oneComment

Saw the movie today and thought it was good but not as funny as the original. Plot line and everything else is pretty much the same so going into the movie but they did manage to make certain scenes hysterical.Comment

I thought it was a solid movie, didn't mind much that the format was a carbon copy of the first one. Hell, they even used songs by Kanye in the same parts like last time.
