Really? I thought it was a good episode. I felt bad for the racist guy on the roof at the beginning and than the emotional scene when Rick finds his family.

Yeah, there was really no conflict with the walkers, but that's not all the show is about.

You're absolutely right. It wasn't as bad as I stated. I just love the tense moments when there's conflict with the zombies. And dynamic with Rick, his wife, and Shane add a lot of depth to show. Hell I'm gonna watch it again like 2 or three times anyway so no sense complainin lol

          I thought it was great.

The scene with the women cleaning clothes and one of the woman's husband had me on edge.

And there's still that little feeling that a zombie is just gonna pop out from somewhere.

I thought last night's episode was the best one yet. So much going on and I wouldn't be sad if Shane would be killed cause he's gonna snap soon.

I agree last nights episode was awesome. A show like this will last because of human conflict and how intriguing it is, especially with a love triangle thrown in the mix. Then add how there is other conflict in the camp. I Ike the scenes with zombies but love the story and character development even more.

I'm watching just waiting till Rich finds out about his wife's little affair.

I cannot wait for that drama.

Every time we see them all together, I'm just on the edge of my seat. And you can see that she wants to tell him, but all she can muster out is: "I'm sorry about everything." Clever.

Rick & Shane were sitting in their cop car talking about how Shane's wife/girlfriend leaves every light switch on in the house and apparently Shane's job is to follow her throughout the house turning off all of the switches. Shane complained to her only for her to say "you sound like my father". He commented to Rick saying "you mean to tell me you've been hearing this since the day you were born and you haven't realized the problem?"

I actually like this episode a lot because it showed me they can make a series with this concept. You have to develop characters and they are doing so. This episode showed me that this isn't a one way story line with The Walkers vs the Un-Dead.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

I'm curious and maybe it's something I missed: Is there another group of zombies?

If there are in the comics, please don't tell me. Just curious to know if they have mentioned another group in the show.

They keep calling these things walkers. But, I just find that odd because it seems like they are separating them from non-walkers, if they exist.

I have read the comics either, but it seems to me there is only one type... they've called them other names too, like "creeps", so I think they just give them names to label them as undead.

I thought this episode was great BTW. I love what they are doing with the characters and interactions.

AMC sources, though not confirmed, hint that The Walking Dead second season will premiere during Fearfest again.

They are already pushing Breaking Bad to summer 2011 along with Mad Men. Plus they have The Killing premiering in the Fall 2011.

So it's going to be a long 10 month wait.
