    Re: Smallville Season 10

I never consistently watched or followed this show, but I have seen a good amount of episodes. I thought the finale was great. The ending is bittersweet though since you think how good the show would be continuing/spinning-off from where they end.

And Lois was extra hot this episode.

What a trashy way to end the show...As a big fan of this series, this finale left me disappointed and pissed off.
I wouldn't go that far, but that finale left me a bit empty in a way. I say that because Lex should have been brought back a few episodes ago. They could have built up to this much better with pacing as things felt too rushed. Darkseid was cool, but I'm getting tired of people's bodies getting possessed on this show like Zod/Lex several seasons ago.

The commercials were so out of hand, it wasn't even funny. I should have waited to watch this and just FF past them.

I guess I didn't even notice the commercials since I was on the computer, so I didn't even pay attention when they were on.

Yeah I was disappointed with Tom Welling's head on a cgi Superman body. The episode wasn't bad but it wasn't the best either. I think they tried to get too much in and didn't have the time should have had 3 hours, or Jeff Johns penning the finale. Loved the John Williams music as it screams Superman and I hope it returns for the Snyder movies. I give the finale a 7 out of 10 but will watch it again to see if I missed anything.

                Re: Smallville Season 10

I didn't like it. I don't even want to say that but am compelled to based on the mess that was presented. I saw 45 minutes into it that it was going to be a big bore, but was somewhat excited for the ending. Then the ending.

The constant emotional soul searching by everyone became exhausting.

Darkseid seemed more a spirit than an actual foe, and not very scary.

Jonathon Kent's presence on Smallville has given it some of it's best moments, but the whole "him being dead" thing made him seemed detached from everything. The scene in the Fortress didn't do anything for me.

I'm still scratching my head over Tess and Lex's fate. WHAT!!??

This episode was utter trash and despite enjoying most of past seasons I'm thrilled to see it go. I really had more to say but I was so irritated that I keep getting timed out to make an intelligent reply!

I don't know about rushed. It seemed the first 20 minutes were about Lois and Clark taking turns deciding about whether or not they should get married.

The Oliver "possessed" thing was terrible.

JayBee, I also felt like this episode was rushed. I really wish they would have been building up to this with the prior 3-4 episodes. Having that flaming planet coming to devastate earth sooner, Lex should have appeared 2-3 episodes ago, and same with Darkseid would have been so much better.

When you look at last weeks episode into this weeks, the only thing that made sense is what they were trying to do with Oliver and was so stupid imo to have another possession angle. I enjoyed the finale for what it was, but it left me empty and more dissatisfied.

I hear ya' Cap. I see the significance of a series finale and appreciate this one, but I just wish it was better. (reference Seinfeld). I enjoyed the 10 year run.

I figured that most folks here would be unhappy with the finale. Its not the script I would have written, but considering all the stuff going on behind the scenes, it was going to be almost impossible to pull off a masterpiece.

We have Welling's desire to not wear the suit. Which I'm sure wasn't helped by what is rumored to be a 30 lb weight gain

We have the edict from the parent company about which suit could be used.

                              Limit availability of Michael Rosenbaum

The desire of the Showrunners to give every segment of the fan base a going way present

So many major characters needing/deserving screen time/closure

When the show started out a decade ago, I didn't even watch it(not a fan of storylines about adolescent angst) and didn't think that the 3 minutes of Supes stuff we got last night would ever come to pass.

It wasn't great, but I'm satisfied with how it ended.
