LOL! Yeah, they will probably milk "the power" we have wanted since the day that Supergirl appeared on Smallville till closer to the end of the season I bet.

Yeah I love Smallville but they are consistant with giving us big teases and lots of hype but falling short of following through

It could be next week too - it's the 200th episode.

Yeah the glasses thing. It has to be the worst disguise ever! It was explained in a 1960's issue that Superman uses his super-hypnosis power to make Clark appear paunchy, heavier, and slightly balding to everyone!! As lame as that sounds, it's more feasible then NOBODY not recognizing that they are one and the same.

I liked it, especially in terms of character interaction. It's a matter of setting up Darkseid, who is supposed to eventually materialize as the final season progresses. At what point, if any, we will see the classic form and power of Darkseid is anyone's guess. Of course, given Darkseid's power, and references to Clark as a savior, the evil that Supes faces is roughly equivalent to the Devil. Don't know about the "pure of heart" angle being resistant to possession by Darkseid. It's confusing, because Kara resisted it, but later it wasn't made clear how.

Interesting announcement that Oliver made at the end.

Wasn't to fond of this episode. After this flashback episode which I suspect won't add much in terms of progressing the story, I hope they go full steam pushing the storyline.

I don't know I think next weeks flashback episode will progress the story a decent amount. He is also taking Clark into the future to see things to come.

                      Can't wait for this

Clark takes a trip down memory lane with the surprisingly helpful Brainiac 5, it's his trip to the future that will most help him become the Man of Steel. What Clark sees "galvanizes his confidence," executive producer Brian Peterson says. "He comes out [of the episode] as the leader that we know Superman to be. His leadership skills sort of jump up to the next level and that sort of maintains all the way through the rest of the season

I was not dissapointed with this episode at all. James Marsters portrayal of Brainiac 5 was great, and the episode flowed perfectly, at the end Clark was flying great show. Easily one of my top 5 favorites.

That was a fantastic episode. Not at all a flashback show like I thought it would be. A good look back, with an eye to the future. A big turning point episode, imo. And the ending was fantastic.

SuperTerrific , never a dull moment. I can't recall a Smallville episode that I enjoyed more. Great scene with Oliver and Clark at the end.

Hands down the best episode thus far, and the elevator scene is ****. Clark will mature to be very impressive. The glasses are in the near future, him as Superman was great. Brainiac 5 was great in his performance, and man oh! man the future looks to hold great things.

When Smallville finishes this season, I really hope the cast will move forward to a Justice League series, too many great characters built up, to just end with nothing more. Tom Welling and supporting cast are the best characters / actors in a very long time of television. They have to move to something else with cast intact. CW ratings would be to a whole new level.

Oliver's performance at the end, to that bitch reporter were great! This final season looks to hold great things.

Like your enthusiasm Shadow, but it's not going to happen. Smallville never had great ratings, and that kind of series would probably be a lot more expensive to produce.

I don't want it to happen. A JL spin off would cheapen the ending of Smallville. I want total closure for the series.
