Yeah, that's what seems to work now.

I know personally it's hard to stay interested watching the entire hour of shows like Letterman, Conan, etc. I usually do anyways, but most of the time I'm doing something else with it on in the background or something.

He needs to stop acting out every single thing from his jokes. It's dumb.

The length of the show is fine, I watch through the second guest at least, and if the musician is someone I don't care about, I delete the recording. If it's a comedian, I'll give it a shot.

And **** Chelsea Handler. She was being a massive bitch to Andy throughout the interview.

I do agree with the most part. He tends to drag his monologue and jokes. I tend to find myself just watch the opening and see who's on and decide to watch or skip. I find myself watching more of Jimmy Fallon.

But for Chelsea, she's great. I know her show targets a different audience but she was hilarious last night and she wasn't a ***** to Andy. She likes people that are his size and was complimenting him.

I'm a huge Conan fan and I watch every episode, but I feel you guys on this a bit. The last couple of weeks have been meh. Long monologues without very many good jokes, and very few/not good skits/comedy bits.

Really been enjoying Fallon lately. Unlike Conan of late, the show is always packed with a full hour of content.

Late night shows have there ups and downs, Conan is just not up right now. They will get it back I assume.

I'm not sure what it is.

He needs to get out on the road to do some more remotes. Maybe he's just punching the clock right now and spending more time with his young family. Remember, he was on the road for a really long time doing his live shows. Maybe he's just burnt out and laying low for a bit.

I think he feels compelled to be crowd-douchey, hence the acting out of each joke and constant remarks about people in the crowd....I don't know. He'll be fine, it's still hilarious. I was laughing a good bit at the re-arranged songs to avoid being sued or whatever.

I wonder if they negotiated specific time that needs to pass before using old characters or if they're prevented from doing so outright.

Same here. He has great mid-show segments. Definitely better then anything Conan has going right now.

They need to do something. Creatively they are really bad right now. Like someone else said it seems like the entire show is just going through the motions. Any idea what the ratings have been?

Yeah, I agree. The thing is you have to give late night talk shows time. It takes them awhile to find their groove for whatever reason. I mean look at Fallon. He was unwatchable his first year or so, but he's actually watchable now. The Roots most definitely help that though. But even though Conan has gone through 3 of these shows now, I think he still needs that time to get into a groove as well.

Despite that, the Michelle Obama ad was one of the funniest things I've seen on TBS Conan yet. A lot of that probably had to do with the last shot of it.

What the hell is it about Conan and Martha Stewart? Always hilarious.

GF of the dude they sent to New Orleans is pretty cute, I have to say. Still left wondering how real it is.

                    Damn, Emily Blunt is hot.

You took the Chelsea Handler interview out of context. Her humor is dark and her show is just about blasting celebrities in the news. If you don't like that kind of humor, that's fine, but that is her through and through. I'm sure Andy was OK with it.

Yeah I was dying. Best show of the week by far last night.

They need to do that "Andy's stories for next week" segment every Thursday, it's hilarious.

Cooking demos on Conan are always great for some reason. Anyone else find it hilarious (or even noticed) that Andy tanked that entire drink in like 3 minutes?

Yeah Andy was amazing during the cooking bit. He was chowing down too.

Sick. I like Green and Barker, love Oldman and DBT, Paul Reuben will be funny, and Seth Rogen could be funny if he turns down the douchey meter a bit.
