Not a big fan of his in general, but I liked some of the sketches last time; so this is good news to me.

Looked it up, and the Jonah Hill news came from Alec Baldwin's podcast...where he also says Justin Bieber is going to host/perform at some point this season. NBC apparently confirmed the Jonah Hill news, but said that Bieber is not yet officially committed.

EDIT: And apparently Paul Brittain is out. http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/01/31/sa...ttain-leaving/

Their has to be more to the story about Brittain leaving. People don't just leave SNL while under contract unless they're getting fired or there is major backstage drama and they ask to leave.

I'm going to miss his Sex Ed Vincent character.

It says other opportunities. If we don't see him in anything within a year, then they lied.

              Nailed it.

I liked SNL sticking up for Lana Del Ray after the incredible overreaction to her awkward performance. The Downton Abbey promo was pretty funny, coming from someone who has never seen the show. It was actually on another channel, and I started watching it during SNL commercials. Of course I was just waiting for an eavesdrop and going "Hey, it's chicken lady" or "Mean guy"...but still.

I have much higher hopes for Zooey Deschanel next week.

Thank goodness I didn't watch it last night because I heard it was awful. I did end up reading a quick review and watching Bobby Moynihan once again kill it as Guy Fieri. I really like Moynihan.

What a horrendous episode! I think the only time I laughed was during the Bar Mitzvah skit.

I guess I'm pretty easy to please. I enjoyed the episode.

                      Re: Saturday Night Live

I liked the "Lana Del Rey" appearance. Tatum was a good host but he had bad material to work with.

I'm really looking forward to Zooey Deschanel hosting this Saturday.

Maya Rudolph is the host on Feb 18th. What cracks me up is reading all the positive comments about her hosting. When she was in the cast, it seemed like a large majority of the internet hated her because she would sing in a lot of the sketches. Now she's back as a host it's like she was a great cast member and from the time period when SNL was great. This always happens.

I know the same thing will happen with Kristen Wiig. Most people find her characters annoying but once she comes back to host 4 years from now, people will say how great she was on the show and how it was the good ol days for SNL.

As for other hosts, it looks like Aaron Rodgers has a chance to be a host later in the season.

I still dislike her. Nah, I don't mind her. I hate SNL's reliance on her Whitney Houston impression. I liked her teen girl character that was in love with Jimmy Fallon and Bronx Beat usually cracks me up. Her Aguilera and Versace sketches were usually good too...but they keep going back to Whitney.

Depends on which characters they bring back on her inevitable hosting gig. If it's the "Don't make me sing" lady, no thanks.

I know a while ago there were rumors that they were trying to get Tebow for an episode too. Haven't read anything new on it since though.

It appears Tebow has an offer to host this season but he hasn't committed to it. If Tebow declines, I expect Rogers to host but if Tebow accepts, Rogers won't get to host.

Well, it was better than last week. Zooey seemed a little nervous and was too dependent on cue cards at times, but that goes for 90% of the hosts nowadays anyway. A few bad sketches, and a few that just ended awkwardly...but any episode that has the line "We're gonna have a three-way with the Declaration of Independence" can't be all bad.
