Ariana Grande was very good on Saturday. The radio station skit was incredible. I knew her Celine Dion impression was good but her Whitney Houston was fantastic. She also was spot on with her Jennifer Lawrence impression on the Family Fued skit.

Peter Dinklage hosts in a couple of weeks. Hopefully he plays Peter Drunklage with Drunk Uncle again.

Ariana really impressed me. She completely changed my opinion of her from a bratty idiot who licked a donut to a grown up professional actress/singer. She aced every sketch, especially the impressions and her voice was top notch. She also managed very well hosting and being the musical act. Outstanding job, Ariana!

Taran Killam & Jay Pharoah gone!

"Saturday Night Live" showrunner Lorne Michaels parts ways with two comedians that don't fit into his empire, Taran Killam and Jay Pharoah.

BOOO, Jay as himself is not funny but those impersonations he does are spot on.

Yeah, and Taran was the workhorse of funny characters....not always the focus in a sketch, but usually he'd add something that a lot of the others didn't.

I wonder what additions Lorne will have? Questionable cuts without knowing any future.

You're right on Jay too, his impersonations will be missed, plus they could use another black male cast member (Kenan can't do everything, and Michael Che doesn't usually do sketches)

Any word if they brought anyone in now that Taran & Jay are gone or are they sticking with what they have?

                        They signed 3 people...

'Saturday Night Live' has announced that they have added three new players, including their first ever Latina cast member.

Yeah, the impression was pretty good. I think Kate McKinnon's Hillary is terrible though. She doesn't really try to match the voice or speaking patterns. Just judging from one video on YouTube, I think Melissa Villaseñor has a better impression, but oh well. For me, it's going to be like when they kept Armisen doing Obama when they had Jay Pharoah right there, haha.

Episode overall was decent. Kinda fell off in the last half hour, but that's where they bury the hit-or-miss stuff so not a big surprise.

Saw the n-word slip up by Michael Che during Weekend Update. I wonder what kind of consequences will come from that for the show and for Che.
